    People Lead CIB - Sandton

    Job Summary

    • To support and provide input to the human resources functional operating models and frameworks in a broadly defined Business Unit/functional strategy; positioning and enabling horizontal alignment, implementation and adoption. This will be aligned to the business priorities of the assigned client population in support of the CIB strategy.

    Job Description

    • An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Human Resources professional to join the Corporate & Investment Banking Cluster as Lead People Partner to an assigned CIB Business Unit in a Front Office Client Portfolio, reporting to the Chief People Officer: CIB. These are complex, revenue generating portfolios with a significant footprint in South Africa, operations across Africa and have reach into our International Corridors outside of Africa.
    • As the face of the People and Culture function to your assigned client portfolio/business unit, you will be a strategic business partner, trusted advisor and coach to the Managing Executive of the business unit and their Leadership team. You will be accountable for setting and driving an integrated people strategy to develop the required capabilities and culture to enable the achievement of the Business Units strategic priorities. This will require brokering specialist centre of excellence and operational support to enable the execution of your people strategy, the business unit strategy, CIB People and Culture strategy and Group People and Culture strategy. You will have Line Management responsibilities for a team and will be expected to lead People & Culture projects at a cluster level. 

    We are looking for a lead People & Culture business partner with experience partnering Front Office client portfolios in a Corporate and Investment Bank, preferably in a multi-geography role. This is the ideal role for you if you:

    • Are a self-starter with experience in partnering Heads of Business and their leadership teams;
    • Have a track record of delivering strategic HR change, with demonstrable impact on the bottom line;
    • Have a track record of collaboration, influence and delivery in a matrixed environment;
    • Are a culture change agent and employee advocate; 
    • Are passionate about solving commercial problems and delivering innovative solutions.

    The role requires strong commercial acumen, a deep affinity for talent management and inclusion, particularly building diverse and transformed talent pipelines, and a strong understanding of Total Reward in a multi-national Corporate & Investment Banking environment.

    You will enjoy high levels of flexibility and autonomy including a hybrid working arrangement, opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders pan-Africa wide and a collaborative team environment.

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree: Human Resources Management (Required), Postgraduate Degrees and Professional Qualifications: Business Administration (Required)
