Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):

• National Diploma in Environmental Management

Experience:

• 3 Years’ post qualification experience in environmental management.

Skills and Competencies

• Environmental Management systems (ISO 14001)
• Environmental Impact assessment
• Approval process for statutory  environmental approvals applicable to the designated area of business(eg Environmental authorisations, Waste management licence, Water use licence, Tree cutting permits, Atmospheric emission licence
• Environmental law
• Environmental risk and due diligence
• Environmental auditing.
• Communication
• The ability to apply analytical and logical thinking to gatering and analysing information, designing and testing solutions to problems and formulating plans
• Knowledge of Eskom’s policies, procedures and directives

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support by implementing and executing the implementation of an ISO14001 Environmental management System and related procedures within the designated area of the business
• Ensure compliance to legislative and governance requirements of the designated area of the business through the implementation of compliance measures
• Execute the process of obtaining Environmental Approval
• Implement and monitor Environmental Management Plans
• Perform Environmental investigations
