    Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner

    Job Description:

    Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner 

    • We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)  who will be responsible for the management of all premises, contractors, tenants and employees for the SKG Group across South Africa. OHS is responsible for executing the OHS strategy and compliance delivery across the SKG Group and to provide expert knowledge on pro-active risk management and administration of the portfolio.
    • The successful candidate must have extensive experience working OHS field in a facilities environment and have a deep understanding of how the OHS system works, risk management to ensure OHS compliance, management of the OHS processes and procedures. Excellent reports, providing solutions to ensure OHS compliance and excellent communication with clients and stakeholders. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS

    OHS is to ensure that the SKG Group complies with all Health and safety policy, procedures and associated legislation and regulations, by providing a system for implementation throughout the SKG Group via advising, monitoring, conducting compliance- and risk assessments, training and awareness and auditing.

    • Risk Assessment experience up to auditing level
    • Competency in electronic business management systems.
    • Analytical skills to identify occupational risks.
    • Exceptional leadership and mentorship abilities to introduce and implement solution
    • Competency in electronic business management systems.
    • Advanced ability to recommend and implement technical solutions for cross-functional project's
    • Excellent record keeping, as well as written and verbal communication skills
    • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
    • Deciding and initiating action.
    • Adhering to principles and values.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • SAMTRAC / HIRA / Nebosh  / OHS certificate or relevant
    • 3-5 years experience in the OHS environment preferably in facilities management, property management and construction industry .
    • 3 years and more HIRA and incident/accident investigation management experience 
    • Advanced knowledge of business operations and project management
    • Expertise on the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Facilities Regulations
