    National Key Account Manager: QSR Sales - Rosebank

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    • To take a lead role in the development and execution of effective sales strategies to maximise and capitalise on sales opportunities and ensure the on-going achievement of strategic goals and objectives, particularly Volume and Gross Profit within the QSR (Quick Service Restaurants) Division. To resume responsibility for managing and gaining deep understanding of all customers within the QSR Division. The main objective of the role is to grow the division sustainably and profitably with an objective and to meet revenue and growth targets while contributing positively to the strategic and operational direction of McCain South African business.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    Achieve financial budgets, gross profit, net sales value and volume for QSR (Quick Service Restaurants).

    • Achieve annual Gross Profit, Net Sales Value and Volume, through the implementation of sales plans with defined targets, plans to drive targets, innovation and communication plans to the Global Accounts [Burger King, McDonald’s & Pizza Hut].

    Compile and manage the annual QSR spend and marketing budget.

    • Compile an annual QSR spend and Marketing budget for QSR, in agreement with the Sales Executive and Commercial Director.

    Drive QSR strategy.

    • Develop and oversee the implementation of QSR Joint Business Plans, Quarterly Business reviews with the different Global Accounts.

    Develop relationships with key stakeholders at senior level.

    • Implement monthly/ quarterly visits to key customers at head office level.

    Participate in setting of strategic objectives.

    • Monitor and measure alignment through accurate reporting on objectives set out in the joint business plans per customer and channel.

    Manage account investments.

    • Manage and report on return on investment against volumes achieved.

    Assist marketing in the development of annual and future innovation plans.

    • LTO (Limited Time Offers) pipeline developments for each of the Global accounts. Aligning with their quarterly themes and occasions they are targeting for the period.

    Network and create cross-functional integration.

    • Ensure alignment of the 360-degree matrix between Sales, finance, Supply Chain and production, to ensure that we understand interrelationships and foresee problems that can impact sales performance.

    EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • BCom Marketing/ Business Management or related qualification.
    • Grade 12 or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 2 years in a managerial role, specifically in FMCG with 7 - 10 years’ experience across multiple roles within the sales.
    • Must have managed Global Accounts within FMCG and have experience in key accounts and operations. 
    • Quick Food Service market understanding.
    • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
    • Project management skills.
