Motion Graphics Team Leader - Umhlanga at Hollywoodbets

You Bring:

• 2 - 4 years’ of experience within a Management or leading a team
• Strong portfolio of work in Motion Graphics
• 3 + years in Motion Graphic Design
• Animation for Television and broadcast (3+ years)
• After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4d , amongst others
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Valid driver’s license

Basic knowledge of:

What You’ll Do For The Brand:

• Overall management of Motion Graphics Team.
• Collaborate, liaise and provide feedback to the management team.
• Manage and collaborate on motion graphics projects with the animation team from concept to execution.
• Ensure that the team is creating and delivering up to broadcast standards.
• Assist department manager to create SLA’s and processes for the Motion Graphics Team and ensure that these processes are followed.
• Responsible for driving continuous upskilling of the animation team, encouraging and mentoring junior, mid and senior animators.
• Liaise with stakeholders and attend meetings for briefings and other projects that involve the department where required.
• Oversee daily reports of the team and report to department manager escalations and ensure all department reports for the Graphics Team are available and updated.
• Create animations for TVCs, social media campaigns, live events and website marketing videos e.g. graphic toolkits, opening sequences, opening and closing billboards, stings, lower thirds, titles, explainer videos amongst others.
• Edit video and record audio for animations.
• Work closely with graphic designers to ensure designs are implemented to brief and liaise with the design department to collaborate on campaign artwork.
• Adapt and produce creative promotional artwork for video production.
• Maintain department server for all project storage.
• Create visuals for the digital marketing and social media departments (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Blog).
• Continuously assess the competitor and keep up with industry trends.
• Scamping of new ideas for visual representation.
• Work closely with copy writers, designers etc., to develop content, optimize the use of each digital channel for campaign efforts and execute the campaign vision.
• Take direction from department leadership, including documenting detailed requirements, and asking questions to clarify assignments.
• Evaluate emerging technologies; provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
• Contribute to brainstorming new and creative growth strategies.
• Ad hoc duties as required amongst others.

PC based hardware

• Hands-on experience with animation and editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Da Vinci Resolve, Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Media Encoder, amongst others.
• 2D/3D motion graphics – After Effects, Cinema 4D (animation, composition, VFX, title sequencing)
