We at RCL FOODS are in search for a Millwright to join our Baking Business Unit/Division. The role will be based in Benoni and report to the Maintenance Manager. RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent to perform Mechanical and Electrical maintenance and upkeep equipment for improved performance in the plant.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12/Matric
• Trade Test Millwright
• Minimum 6 years production line or FMCG maintenance experience
• Code 08 drivers licence

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Implements Operational asset productivity and care through plannedmaintenance strategy by:
• Noting and raising maintenance issues with the maintenance manager
• Maintains workshop appearance and image through housekeeping
• Fault finding on mechanical and electrical equipment
• Conducts preventative maintenance as per schedule and to the company standard
• Welding, fabrication and repairs on machines
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance
• Preventative Maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical equipment.
• Attend to Electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Attends to breakdowns timeously in order to minimise production downtime
• Maintains machine and electrical panels
• PLC, VSD, loadcell and Scale experience essential
• Project and improvement implementation experience
• Comply to companies health and safety policies
• Cost saving initiatives
• Guides, train and coordinates the functions of the artisan assistant
• Forklift experienced will be beneficial
• Need to work shift and do standby duties when required
• Must able to read electrical, pneumatical drawings

Knowledge & Skills:

• PLC and relay control circuit fault finding
• Electrical fault finding
• Knowledge of photo electric and proximity switches is essential
• Good technical ability
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Planning & co-ordinating skills
• Ability to work independently and good time keeping
• Troubleshooting skills
• Experience on oven gas burners will be advantageous
• Refrigeration experience be advantageous
