    Marketing Manager, Retail Banking

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Support Marketing Managers in the execution of marketing strategies and goals. Assisting in the execution of marketing and communication plans in alignment with Group marketing strategies. Assisting marketing delivery in Retail Banking through the provision of centre of excellence expertise, advice and support

    QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Management or Marketing or its equivalent post-Graduate qualification in Commerce, Management or Marketing
    • Financial services marketing experience is preferred
    • Previous exposure to financial markets is an advantage but not an essential
    • 2-5 years working experience in a commercial environment

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    • Strategy and Execution Support
    • Assist the Marketing Manager in the execution of the brand and business strategy and plans in Coverage through Country marketing teams
    • Assist with the execution of Marketing plans where necessary
    • Assist the Marketing Manager to monitor performance as per set metrics to ensure marketing plans deliver to BU goals.
    • Constantly monitor the drivers of brand reputation in line with brand strategy and assist with reports that will enable the Marketing Manager make recommendations for improvement

    Tactical Projects

    • Drive the cross pollination of campaign ideas and events through timely sharing of creatives as well as events calendars across segments in order to ensure budget optimisation.
    • Monitor competitor and macroeconomic activities competitor strategy
    • Provide support in driving communication that build’s the brand.
    • Assist teams in developing below the line content through use of Centre resources such as studio, direct and digital marketing teams.
    • Development of centre led tactical materials as and when required by business
    • Participation in key business development projects
    • Coordination of workshops and other marketing and cross functional forums

    Budget

    • Monitor marketing spend effectiveness (ROI) culture in the Lines of Business and marketing teams
    • Review marketing budgets on a monthly basis and highlight any variances to Marketing Manager on a timely basis
    • Manage costs and centre budget to ensure efficient spend and good governance

    Reporting

    • Prepare monthly and quarterly governance reports including but not limited to:
    • Dashboards
    • EXCO Reports
    • Monthly Senior Managers Report
    • Quarterly Creative Review Reports for the region
    • Monthly monitoring of country budgets
    • Organisation of monthly country calls
    • Effective executional support to the Marketing Manager
    • Effective management of information and constant monitoring and updates between Marketing Manager and Retail Banking flows.
    • Effective support of marketing planning processes
    • Monitoring marketing spend effectiveness for the region
    • Supporting marketing operations and administrative process
    • Content collation to support strategy development process
