    Marketing Manager (Dis-Chem Health) - Midrand

    Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand has an opportunity available for a Marketing Manager to join their Dis-Chem Health team. Main purpose is to develop and implement marketing strategy, practices, and campaigns for Dis-Chem Health (Medical Insurance, Gap Cover, and the extra rewards programme), while ensuring continual alignment with the Dis-Chem Brand. To conceptualise, plan, execute, oversee, and evaluate all marketing initiatives and campaigns (including digital and social media) for Dis-Chem Health and the extra rewards programme to drive demand, support the growth of Dis-Chem Health, and educate the public about the Health Insurance industry in South Africa.

    Minimum Requirements…

    Essential:

    • Grade 12 / Matric
    • Degree in Marketing or Communications or Equivalent
    • Minimum 5 -8 years Marketing or relevant experience

     Advantage: 

    • Postgraduate qualification in related field
    • Minimum 2 to 5 years management and health industry experience

    Job Specification…

    • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategy and practices for Dis-Chem Health aligned with target audience.
    • Lead marketing projects and coordinate resources to effectively deliver market related solutions timeously.
    • Launch campaigns designed to increase brand awareness and drive lead generation, while ensuring continual alignment with the Dis-Chem Brand.
    • Compile, submit and monitor the annual budget for sign off, ongoing campaign, and budget reviews.
    • Compile and manage the annual campaign calendar for Dis-Chem Health
    • Monitor the progress and measure the effectiveness of campaigns, providing regular updates to the Dis-Chem Health Marketing Forum and Management teams.
    • Utilise campaign and market insights to ensure a continued optimization of processes and frameworks to deliver the strategy.
    • Oversee the development of high-quality marketing content for Dis-Chem Health advertising campaigns to promote brand awareness.
    • Compile project plans and manage all marketing campaigns from beginning to end as well as ensure that the target objectives are met.
    • Collaborate with teams, including designers, content creators etc to align marketing strategies, creative assets, and campaign objectives.
    • Provide project management support for marketing activities including activations and events.
    • Assist in the administration of the marketing campaigns, events, launches and ad hoc campaigns and proposals.
    • Work co-operatively and constructively with multiple stakeholders including internal marketing teams, subsidiary marketing teams, external agencies, and other stakeholders.
    • Multi-stakeholder engagement will be required with close collaboration with the Dis-Chem marketing team, our insurance subsidiary (Kaelo), our insurer (Centriq) and other relevant stakeholders (internal and external).
    • Research market's consumer preferences to inform marketing strategies.
    • Keep abreast of the current market trends and developments and ensure relevance.
    • Monitor campaign performance metrics to provide data-driven insights and recommendations to enhance campaign effectiveness, reach, and engagement.
    • Research and analyse member data for Dis-Chem Health to create comprehensive reports and use the information to improve on future marketing strategies and campaigns.
    • Routinely analyse data and troubleshoot to understand issues and identify solutions to develop key marketing metrics to ensure campaigns are meeting goals.
    • Assess and manage the Dis-Chem Health Marketing team to continually improve processes and outcomes.
    • Promote a robust culture of accountability, innovation, and performance management across the customer care department, whilst modelling the company’s values.
    • Train and guide team members on Dis-Chem Health marketing initiatives and/or campaigns to ensure successful implementation best practices and strategies.
    • Assist in setting objectives for the team and tracking progress.
    • Assist in facilitating the creation of accountable, full-service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders.

    Competencies

    Essential:

    • Knowledge of Marketing practices and principles, including branding, advertising, public relations, digital marketing, social media, and content creation. Knowledge of the Retail, Insurance or Healthcare industries
    • The ability to analyse data
    • Strong communication skills
    • Build constructive working relationships
    • Manage budgets, projects, campaigns, and timelines effectively.
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate direct marketing reports and graduates effectively.
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.

    Advantage:

    • Technical skills in Google Analytics, digital marketing, social media, and other relevant technologies advantageous
