    Marketing Director: Foods - Cape Town HQ - ZAF

    Overview

    • The purpose of the job is enable and build the growth potential of the legacy Pioneer Groceries Foods categories. These include Cereals, Baking & Desserts, Condiments & Spreads and Snacks (dried fruit & nuts). The person will fulfil the marketing lead for this extensive portfolio of categories and brands. A high degree of co-ordination will be expected of the incumbent in developing and executing plans that also impact the SA Snacks category, the Baking (Bread) category, the Grains (Maize) category, and the Beverages (Juice) category. Bringing in-market, in-category market capability will ensure more strategic coherence and more synergies across the portfolio offerings that do exist today, but in different parts of the SSA Cluster.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for brand building, category growth strategy for full suite of Foods categories and brands across South Africa
    • This marketing leader would be responsible for PSP and marketing campaign and activation plans for the brands
    • Own and drive brand equity, SOM and appropriately launch new brands or brand extensions, in conjunction with Commercialisation and R&D
    • Liaise with SSA CMO in developing and utilizing the support marketing ecosystem, developing and deepening consumer intimacy programmes, and building out consumer engagement platforms
    • Set strategic agenda and commercials plans to accelerate growth, in alignment with the Category GM and the SSA CMO
    • Align Brand calendars with GTM and DX teams
    • Drive SOM gains in priority categories
    • Deliver NR & NOPBT growth targets with Category GM
    • Drive Brand Health & Loyalty metrics with SSA CMO and SSA Insights & Analytics Senior Director
    • Execute Innovation & Pipeline priorities with Commercialisation and R&D partners

    Qualifications

    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
    • Excellent commercial acumen and demonstrated ability to deliver results
    • Strong expertise and skills in Brand Purposeful positioning, TCP and 360 Brand communications
    • Experience in Digital and programmatic content
    • Strong Innovation skills
