    Marketing Data Analytics Specialist (Fourways)

    Purpose of the Role: 

    This role is pivotal in using data to guide strategic marketing decisions and improve business outcomes in our fast-paced retail setting. The incumbent will collect, analyze, and interpret data from diverse sources to offer practical insights that support important business projects, enrich customer interactions, and streamline operations.

    Main responsibilities:

    • Collect, clean, and integrate data from multiple sources including sales transactions, customer interactions, inventory records, and marketing campaigns.
    • Perform advanced analytics using statistical techniques, predictive modeling, and machine learning algorithms to identify patterns, trends, and correlations in the data.
    • Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Segment customers based on their purchasing behavior, demographics, and preferences to tailor marketing strategies and promotions.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to implement targeted campaigns and promotions that drive customer engagement and loyalty.
    • Forecast demand for products and optimize inventory levels to minimize stockouts, reduce carrying costs, and maximize sales opportunities linked to promotional campaigns.
    • Analyze product performance and seasonality trends to inform campaign planning and promotional decisions.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales performance, customer satisfaction, product and campaign attractivity, and customer acceleration.
    • Continuously explore opportunities to enhance BI capability of the business
    • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to investigate business issues, identify root causes, and recommend actionable solutions.
    • Management of data integrity.  

    Requirements

    The successful candidate should have the following skills, experience and attributes:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Previous experience in a similar role within a marketing environment.
    • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.
    • Advanced experience in Big Query
    • Advanced experience in Google Data studio
    • Advanced experience in Excel
    • Experience in data modeling and interpretation
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Tolerance and patience of working with huge MS excel files
    • High tolerance for stress and working in a high pressure environment.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
