    Manager, Investment Administration

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Standard bank provides fund administration services to a wide range funds. The role of the Investment Administrator Manager will establish and oversee the Funds Services Operations Process for several pension funds and perform all duties in respect of the accounting for the investments of a pension and institutional fund including the production of month end reports using the HIPORT system. 
    The candidate will be required to work in a collaborative team environment, meet tight client deliverables, have high attention to detail and must be a critical thinker. They will be required to set up processes and implement robust process for the new funds while upholding the highest standards, against well-established business processes. 
    This role requires leadership in goal setting, monitoring progress and management of internal and external stakeholders in various locations. The leader should have strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as self-leadership and organizational skills.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    BCom or equivalent completed

    Experience

    • Minimum 3 years back-office administration processes (Preferred) and fund accounting experience
    • Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles
    • Have knowledge of financial instruments
    • Have knowledge of how the financial markets operates 
    • Candidate should behave ethically
    • Pension fund rules
    • Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS office & IT packages (particularly Excel should be at an intermediate level)
    • Good understanding, knowledge and experience of back-office administration processes and accounting platforms
    • The position requires someone who can multi-task and run with non-routine issues/ projects
    • Good organisational, administrative, time Management skills 
    • Able and eager to guide less experienced team members
