Manager, 1st Line Compliance at Standard Bank Group

JOB DESCRIPTION

• To contribute to SBIB’s strategic objectives and enable SBIB in a 1st line Compliance capacity, in business as usual and with regulatory initiatives.
• To assist management with establishing effective business compliance function and ensuring that the business is conducted in accordance with its compliance obligations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline is essential preferably in Compliance, Legal, or Risk Management, or a related field.
• Compliance and Risk certifications preferred 
• Valid driver’s licence
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Compliance role within Insurance
• Experience in Risk, Compliance or Legal 
• Knowledge of the insurance environment
• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and implementation.
• Broad conceptual knowledge and understanding of the financial services and insurance industry.
