    Legal & Compliance Officer - Northern Suburbs

    Key Responsibilities: 

    1. Compliance Reporting

    • Assist with submission of reports to regulators.
    • Assist with drafting of legal and compliance report to Exco and ARC.

    2. Compliance Management and Monitoring Plans

    • Assist with drafting of compliance management and monitoring plans.
    • Review compliance management and monitoring plans.
    • Updating regulatory universe.

    3. Stakeholder Engagement

    • Engage with relevant regulators and ombuds.
    • Liaise with credit bureaus.
    • Liaise with relevant business units within the group.

    4. Legal Research

    • Conduct legal research.

    5. Drafting of Contracts

    • Drafting and reviewing of contracts.

    6. Complaints Management

    • Liaising with ombuds, debt counsellors, etc.
    • Investigation of complaints and responding to complaints.

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • LLB
    • Minimum of 2 years working in a legal/ compliance role
    • Admitted Legal Practitioner (preferred)
    • Certification in Compliance Management advantageous
    • CPrac (or commitment to obtain)
