• Postgraduate study guidance and research in Transportation Engineering;
• Academic and departmental administration.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
Junior Lecturer

• An applicable BEng or BScEng degree enabling professional registration with t he Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), or an applicable BScHons degree enabling professional registration with t he South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP);
• A background in Transportation Engineering, with a Master's degree in a relevant engineering or applied science field with a focus on transportation planning, public transport or transport safety;
• An excellent academic study record;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
• The incumbent must qualify to register for a PhD in Civil Engineering at the latest in 2024 and graduate within four years.

Lecturer

• An applicable BEng or BScEng degree enabling professional registration with t he Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), or an applicable BScHons degree enabling professional registration with t he South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP);
• A background in Transportation Engineering, with a Doctorate degree in a relevant engineering field, with a focus on transportation planning, public transport or transport safety;
• An excellent academic study record in Engineering;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
Junior Lecturer

• Enrolled for a PhD degree;
• The ability to work effectively in a multilingual environment.

Junior / Lecturer

• A background in transportation planning and/or traffic engineering and/or public transport planning and/or transportation safety, and a willingness to teach in these strategic subject fields;
• Experience and ability in lecturing of technical material.
