    Junior Project Manager

    What will you do?

    • An exciting opportunity has opened for an individual to support and contribute to MiWay’s geared for growth strategy with a particular focus on conducting research, scoping and evaluating growth projects. The role will facilitate growth projects from discovery to ready for delivery. The candidate should be Agile (i.e. someone with a passion for Agile Methodology that works for MiWay), a contributor – i.e. someone who will be keen to get involved with project co-ordination, data analysis, and supporting key activities across the discovery and delivery phases of growth projects. Do you have previous experience supporting on business development initiatives with a key focus on scoping requirements and supporting business leads with projects from discovery to delivery.     Minimum Qualification Required

    • A relevant tertiary qualification with 2-4 years of relevant experience,
    • Project Management (PM) /Agile (Product Owner - PO) Certification with PM or PO relevant experience preferred

    Role Expectations

    • The expected deliverable for this role includes, but is not limited to:
    • Facilitate multiple business development initiatives of small – medium size simultaneously, and their respective project teams of varying sizes, complexity and backgrounds.
    • Prepare project plans, documents and reports progress as required, escalate issues, and facilitate project review presentations.
    • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to share documents for review and approval, action and get clarity on key legal and compliance requirements for projects
    • Schedule key meetings with partners and internal teams, managing a complex calendar
    • Work independently to Develop presentation deliverables related to projects.
    • Facilitate meetings related to projects.
    • Work with a cross functional teams on assigning tasks, establishing project deliverables and scheduling of those tasks and deliverables.
    • Obtain approvals from primary stakeholder(s) and control project scope, priorities, and schedule
    • Support the day-to-day projects/logistics and the corresponding communication for each project
    • Manage project management reporting, including tracking each critical step, outcomes and final deliverables.
    • Collect and consolidate management data/reports to track performance against goals and corporate strategy.
    • Driving the Agile software methodology through the existing Agile Coaches.

    Skills and exposure required

    • Project Management (PM) /Agile (Product Owner - PO) Certification with PM or PO 2-4 years relevant experience preferred
    • Previous experience in business development, management consulting, insurance or financial services would be advantageous
    • Experience working on multiple small – medium sized projects and proof of concepts 
    • Experience communicating with multiple external stakeholders of varying levels of seniority
    • Experience working with data and understanding the power of data to unlock viable business development opportunities.
