Job Description:
The role of the Internal Communication & Employee Experience Manager is responsible for developing and executing internal communications, leadership and employee engagement programs, culture-change initiatives, and transformation communications in support of business strategy and priorities.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Planning & program development:
- Design and implement communication and engagement activities to achieve tailored business outcomes.
- Maintain the leadership and employee engagement and annual internal communications plan.
Message and content development:
Draft, edit and produce relevant and engaging messages, talking points, communications and content consistent with the narrative and brand.
Manage Mweb’s internal communications channels:
- Utilise a mix of channels (including digital and social, internally and externally) along with live interactions to reach and engage targeted internal audiences, identifying and implementing new approaches, technologies and innovations as required.
- Maintain the communications calendar, monthly newsletter and all content for Mtranet. Author a variety of internal and executive communications including presentations, announcements and content to be delivered across a variety of communications channels.
Measures, feedback and employee insight:
- Institute appropriate local employee and communication effectiveness survey and feedback mechanisms.
- Use metrics and insights generated to drive improvement in communication and engagement
Best practice, standards and governance:
- Embed and champion good practice and communication capability within business area and its leaders and teams.
- Adhere to corporate standards and governance for communications.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Superior collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of management
- Ability to project and confidently convey subject matter expertise to peers, teams and leadership
- Ability to identify and analyze business and audience needs to deliver messages via the most appropriate mix of channels
- Ability to manage several programs/projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment often interrupted with immediate support requirements.
- Ability to prioritize workload that may demand working extended hours on occasion as necessary
- Ability to be hands-on, as well as strategic.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferable
- Qualifications or further studies in Employee Engagement and/or Internal Communications or Public Relations
Required Experience:
- Demonstrable required experience within an internal communications role and/ or related discipline
- Demonstrable experience of managing multiple time-critical projects with a proven track record in advising senior leaders
- Experience managing a wider network and ensuring team goals are achieved or exceeded
- Extensive experience of developing strategic internal communication, employee engagement and change communication programs in a global organisation
- Solid experience creating and executing internal communications and a track record of delivering solid, measurable results
