    HR Operations Systems Specialist 1

    The Opportunity:

    We have an opportunity to employ a strong systems and technically minded candidate in the HROSS role, based in our Johannesburg, Sandton office. The HROSS will be responsible to action resolutions, prepare accurate data files and guide internal clients in Core HR related processes and systems. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team supporting multiple, complex HR platforms including, the SAP Success Factors product suite, Service Now and other internal Global systems. The HROSS also collaborates with our team of Global technical specialists on daily technical resolutions, deliverables and local requirements.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Reporting to the HR Operations System Specialist Manager, you are expected to engage with various internal clients and the Global team to clarify any open operational or technical case management issues and queries.
    • Coordinate and manage employee data related operations, implement controls and deliver outputs between Talent, Onshore and Offshore Service Delivery Centres (IBM)  and Payroll.
    • Regular reviews of Role Based Permissions and complete regular system access audits of HR applications to ensure people have the appropriate level of access
    • Responsible for project deliverables in transitions to Service delivery teams, by providing training on systems and processes.
    • Responsible for assisting with technical queries and resolutions to Service Delivery leads in day-to-day management of processes and transactions.
    • You are expected to analyse and perform data validation reviews, consult with stakeholders and take action to correct data where applicable.
    • Responsible to produce reports for legal or regulatory requirements as required by various internal and external clients.
    • Manage relationships with HR Systems Global teams and provide support to our Region Service Delivery Teams.
    • Provide local support for changes to global systems (for example, participation in testing, adaptation of release notes) and update Talent and Transactional team in the delivery of routine, but essential, activities such as project deliverables and testing.
    • Responsible for a successful resolution of Region /Cluster /Country technology and data issues and provide insight to the local Talent team(s) on how technology can be used to maximize benefits.
    • Developing, updating, maintaining technical documentation and updates to Quick Reference Guides, Work Instructions and Chat Bot content for the Africa region.

    To qualify for the role you must have

    • Minimum of 4-6 years of SAP Success Factors (or a similar off-premise HRIS platform), Service Now, Microsoft 365, various automation tools, supported by experience gained through a combination of implementation projects and post go-live support 
    • Relevant functional experience for data extractions from source SAP systems to downstream systems
    • Relevant qualification preferably a degree in HR/IT/Finance
    • Education in Computer Science/Telecom/Electronics Engineer data management/analytics preferred

    To complete the picture, you’ll also have

    • People skills to collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and create clear, technical and functional resolutions.
    • Ability to provide status updates and to follow through on escalations to ensure timely issue resolution.
    • Strong sense of accountability for the end-to-end support to all internal and external (alumni and vendors) clients.

    • Experience in handling highly critical and sensitive employee data
    • Knowledge and experience with HR systems and HR Operations  
    • Act as a point of contact for the Africa Region HR systems
    • Responsible to deliver with agility as part of a stable team
    • Managing HR Systems administration in a large complex organisation
    • Ability to inform and influence non-technical stakeholders and to build good relationships and work virtually and across borders
    • Methodical, organised with excellent attention to detail.
    • Sound project planning skills, able to manage own and others including stakeholders time in order to meet deadlines
    • Results-orientated and committed to meeting deadlines
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure
    • Responsible for problem solving and quick decision making
    • Understanding of change control management requirements when introducing system and process updates and changes
    • A team player with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
    • Hands on experience with systems such as: Success Factors Employee Central, Field Glass, SF Recruitment, SF Compensation, SF  Onboarding, LEAD(SF Learning), Role Based Permissions (RBP), SAP (Finance), ServiceNow HR (SNOW), DocuSign, SAGE/VIP and SharePoint ( Microsoft 365).
