Job description
Woolworths Financial Services would like to offer University graduates (class of 2021/2022) the opportunity to work for a dynamic retail bank within the Mother City. We invite Africa’s best minds to join our Graduate Programme, designed and structured to maximise learning opportunities and unlock one’s full potential within the Financial Services industry. The Programme offers exposure to our IT environment, spanning the development, infrastructure, architecture, operations and project management teams.
MAIN PURPOSE:
A 12 month graduate programme to develop a detailed understanding of the functional units making up the Chief Information Office (CIO). Focusing on, but not limited to: software development, business analysis, testing, project management and IT operations, as well as IT commercial management.
During the programme the candidate will acquire many technical skills which will efficiently equip them as they progress through the different functional units. They will gain exposure to best-practice project and portfolio management, encompassing both the Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Functions will include, but are not limited to: business and process analysis, BI development, programming, strategic thinking, analytics and insights, IT Infrastructure support, Operational incident management and system analysis, IT release management and solution architecture.
In addition, the candidate will gain insights in stakeholder and supplier management, as well as a general grasp of our range of credit products and the entire IT delivery and support life cycle.
