Financial Manager - Pietermaritzburg at TWK Agri

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies and procedures to optimize company performance and ensure compliance with regulations
• Oversee and manage the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes
• Provide strategic financial advise and guidance to senior management for decision-making purposes
• Monitor cash flow, manage investments and coordinator with banks and financial institutions
• Prepare financial statements on Caseware, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements in accordance with IFRS
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax and regulatory authorities
• Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions and changes in financial regulations to ensure compliance and optimize financial strategies
• Supervise the finance department and review subordinates' work

Qualifications and Skills

• Matric / Grade 12
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field (Accounting or Management Accounting honours degree preferred)
• Proven work experience as a Financial Manager or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting or reporting
• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, regulations and financial analysis techniques
• Proficient in Pastel Partner and Caseware
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Prefessional certifications (e.g. CFA, CIMA, CA) (advantageous)
• Advanced skills in MS Excel
• A valid drivers license and own reliable transport
• Fluent in English
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
