    Senior Financial Accountant

    • Successful incumbent will have a completed B.Com (Accounting) degree/similar, coupled with 5-8 years related Senior Accounting experience in a Construction / Projects concern.  
    • Duties include the full function up to Trial Balance, strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills with regards to all accounting and related matters.  Reconcile control accounts, inter-company loan accounts and not be afraid to jump in and get your hands dirty in terms of getting cashbooks updated and doing some processing when needed.  
    • Drive the processes and provide assistance to the Junior staff to ensure that everything is done on time and accurately as well as drive the management reports for debtors management, sub-contractor and creditors management (in Excel) as well as the monthly TB and GL reconciliations to ensure correct and timeous processing to ensure accurate reporting by the FM.  Be the right hand to the FM.  Take responsibility for payment cycles.  A person with a sense of attention to accounting principles of accuracy, completeness, existence, occurrence, classification, cut-off is critical for this role.  Check monthly GL reconciliations and corrections must be made where misallocations or mistakes are found.
    • Monthly management  reports on the status of debtors, subbies, creditors, overheads, contract costs and the remaining balance sheet accounts.  Assist the FM with statutory payments, cashflow planning, budgets, management accounts, BBBEE and normal audits and other adhoc functions.

    Creditors Clerk

    Requirements:

    • Creditors experience of 4 to 5 years
    • Creditors Reconciliation experience
    • Accpac Windows experience would be advantageous
    • Intermediate Excel knowledge
    • Microsoft Word knowledge
    • Accurate and efficient with figures
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Be a team player and be able to work on one's own
    • Be comfortable working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment

    Basic duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Processing/Capturing +/-400 invoices per month in Accounts Payable
    • Complete Creditors Recon’s on a monthly basis
    • Liaise with all Creditors and resolve queries
    • Process EFT payments
    • Ensure invoices are issued to the relevant persons for authorisation

    Financial Accountant

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, with a focus on the construction industry
    • Proficiency in BuildSmart is essential. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis
    • CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
    • Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards within the construction industry

    Basic duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Financial Reporting: Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring variances and reporting findings
    • Cost Management: Oversee project costing, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported accurately
    • Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
    • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, preparing and submitting tax returns as required
    • Auditing: Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information
    • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning
    • Software Management: Utilize BuildSmart for financial management, reporting, and project tracking
    • Excel Proficiency: Create and manage complex spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and prepare detailed reports using Excel
    • Team Collaboration: Work closely with managers, Quantity Surveyor, and other stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and accountability

    Bookkeeper

    Requirements:

    • Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience in the construction industry
    • Proficiency in BuildSmart is essential
    • Advanced Excel skills, including data entry, formulas, and basic data analysis
    • Bookkeeping certification preferred
    • Understanding of financial regulations and standards within the construction industry
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Basic duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations
    • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely payments and collections
    • Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
    • Expense Tracking: Track and record all project-related expenses, ensuring proper allocation and documentation
    • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and statements for management
    • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
    • Software Utilization: Utilize BuildSmart for bookkeeping and financial management tasks
    • Excel Proficiency: Create and manage spreadsheets for data entry, analysis, and reporting
