    Finance Manager - Boksburg

    Responsible for:

    • Providing finance expertise, insight and relevant management information to promote optimal decision-making and performance management.
    • Oversight of accounting and reporting processes, including group reporting.
    • Coordination of local statutory and tax accounting, filing and reporting.
    • Planning, budgeting and forecast cycle.
    • Working capital management/optimisation.
    • Leading compliance agenda (including internal audit, Navex checks and agreements for suppliers/ government interactions and third parties, gift register and Croda-speak up maintenance and anti-bribery and corruption processes).
    • Other functional support as required, including liaison with legal advisors.
    • Providing leadership to Finance team, ensuring meaningful development opportunities are available.
    • Seeking opportunities for process improvement/efficiency, embedding a mindset of continuous improvement in the organisation
    • Acting as ambassador when rolling out new regional/global tools and frameworks.

    Key Skills and areas of expertise:

    • A recognised 4-year accounting degree (professional registration as a chartered accountant (CA) or similar is preferred but no essential).
    • Min. of 5 years post graduating, working experience with month-end and year-end closure reporting, accounting experience and detailed IFRS knowledge.
    • SAP knowledge and working experience desirable.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel.
    • Business Partnering and delivering financial information to support decision-making.
    • Managing and developing a small finance team of direct reports.
    • Managing external relationships (auditors, banks, government authorities, advisors).
    • Ability to identify, recommend and implement system/process improvements.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and collaborative approach (often involving effective communication across multiple functions).
