    Feature Analyst Lead: Digital and Workflow

    Job Description

    • This role is responsible for delivery of a variety of IT services to support business objectives and is individually accountable for achieving results through others, over periods of 3 months to a year. The IT Manager's business portfolio is smaller than that of a Senior IT Manager.

    Responsible for Features on Web Applications and Administration of Internal and External Web sites.

    • Collaborate with Old Mutual Insure Retail, Claims and Shared Services as well as initiatives with Old Mutual Group, Elite, Rest of Africa and Specialty.
    • Manage Campaigns, Content and Features on the Old Mutual Insure Intranet
    • Manage Content and Features for Departmental Sharepoint Sites
    • Ensure that Mutual Matters newsletter gets published accurately and on time.
    • Facilitate any Press Releases with Old Mutual Group.
    • Map out business roadmaps and System Flows end to end based on customer requirements.
    • Work together with business stakeholders, product owners and team to ensure that user story documentation is complete.
    • Facilitate and document acceptance criteria and test cases with business and obtain signoff.
    • Collaborate with other teams comprised of business team, UX, Developers, SME's and feature team to gather and analyse user requirements.
    • Collaborate with Marketing Team, Content Team, Legal and Compliance to ensure that all feature content complies.
    • Identify interdependencies across multiple business areas and workstreams.
    • Plan and facilitate walkthroughs to ensure that requirements are understood and facilitate clarification and decision-making where required.
    • Present Showcases, POC's and POT's for Apps and Applications to any audience.
    • Ensure sign-off and acceptance of the solution and requirements.
    • Ensure that Business Value and Return on Investment forms part of any Feature being delivered.
    • Work with product owners, stakeholders, and users to ensure that the solution is understood and support users where needed post-deployment.
    • Identify business problems and opportunities, sharing innovative ideas to better the business.
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify risks and dependencies together with mitigation
    • Ensure every solution deployed has reports and monitoring to track and measure business benefits.
    • Perform functional testing and approve or fail test cases
    • Fully operate within the SAFe Agile framework using Jira to manage backlog and plan sprints
    • Ensure Metrics and Reporting form part of any Feature
    • Work with team to identify and log defects, trouble-shoot and identify root cause, and update requirements and user story document accordingly.
    • Keeping abreast of market trends and business development opportunities and recommending innovative ideas.
    • Create relationships with other business area to determine internal and external process improvements.
    • Assist and investigate decommissioning of End-of-Life systems.
    • Create innovation ideas and prove them via POCs.
    • Help to reduce unplanned work and show downtrends.
    • Participate and assist Scrum Master with PI Planning work items.
    • Capture user stories and updates on JIRA.
    • Attend, participate and sometimes run stand-ups and retrospectives.
    • Produce architectural designs.
    • Produce architectural technology recommendations.
    • Update EA document repository with assets.
    • Ensure EA tool is updated with latest design changes.
    • Architecture design and solution reviews.
    • Train on future state technologies (Salesforce and AWS).
    • Coach and Mentor Colleagues and Junior team members.
    • Train on testing Automation tools.
    • Identify and closing any open risk items assigned to the team.

    • Share and transfer product, process and systems knowledge to colleagues and team members.
    • Collaborate and work with the business to deliver required service levels.
    • Actively share information with other team members regarding successes, issues, trends and ideas.

    Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5 – 8 years’ experience in business analysis.
