e-Commerce Systems Lead at Pepkor Speciality

Job Description    

• We have an exciting new opportunity for an e-Commerce Systems Lead who will be responsible as the solutions architect for the systems, applications & tools used for the eCommerce solution. Will also manage the Web Developers responsible for building and maintaining the websites. It will be the responsibility of the eCommerce Systems Team lead to unlock synergies and shared learnings for the brands and to ensure a harmonized execution of eCommerce with the Group.

Qualifications    

• Tertiary qualification within Web development or related IT field

Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

• 5 years experience as web developer is essential
• 2 years as a Manager leading a team of web developers 
• Working knowledge and experience in Shopify
• Working knowledge of Application protocol interface (API)  integration
• Experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous
• Experience working with HTML, CSS, JQuery, JSon and Ajax is essential
• Experience with web optimisation and understanding of graphic formats
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to take responsibility and be decisive.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Effective planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate and influence cross-functional teams
• Ability to work to deadlines and work under pressure
• High focus on attention to detail
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport

Key Responsibilities    

Solutions Architect for the systems, applications & tools used 

• Project Manages the execution of a project as agreed and resolves any issues which may arise and communicate outcomes.
• Manage, coach and train Web Developers
• Ensure understanding of how all systems integrate within the various platforms for eCommerce websites
• Stakeholder Relationships and Management
• Compliance and Risk management for Ecommerce systems
