    Digital Marketing Specialist

    Purpose of the Position

    • Develop and manage key Digital Marketing activities and output.
    • Including strategy, planning, execution, project management, integration, cross-team communication, and campaign performance monitoring.

    Key Performance Objectives

    Project Management

    • Assist the Senior Manager Digital Marketing with managing key Digital Marketing campaigns and activities including calendar updates, planning, strategy input, briefs, cross-team communication, integration, execution.
    • Identify potential risks and challenges that could impact the success of the campaign and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
    • Explore new campaign channels and strategies and socialize them with a broader team.
    • Maintain detailed records of campaign plans, changes, and outcomes for future reference and analysis.
    • Maintain a high-level view of various digital tactics to ensure strategic cohesion is maintained across all campaigns.
    • Assistance analyzing key data using key analytics tools.
    • Conduct a post-campaign analysis to evaluate its overall success, identify lessons learned, and use insights to inform future marketing efforts.
    • Assistance with reports and presentations including campaign reports, weekly updates, weekly performance updates, and results sharing across teams.
    • Coordinate the creation of marketing content, including blog posts, social media updates, graphics, videos, and other assets.
    • Ensure that content is produced on time and aligns with the campaign's goals and messaging.
    • Active involvement in content selection in partnership with Marketing and Content teams.

    Quality Control and Reporting

    • Conduct thorough quality checks on all digital assets.
    • Scrutinize ad campaigns for precision, covering targeting, ad copy, budget, design and tracking metrics.
    • Oversee and provide feedback on Digital Marketing Coordinator deliverables, driving process improvements for enhanced campaign efficiency.

    Stakeholder Management

    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive smooth collaboration across the various teams.
    • Maintain close communication with Paid Media and Digital Product teams to ensure timely delivery of campaigns and activities.
    • Train Digital Marketing Coordinators and Quality Control their outputs in cooperation with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager.

    Digital and Brand Strategy

    • Oversee the execution of the digital strategy, ensuring strategic alignment with the company's objectives.
    • Showcase expertise in areas such as search engine optimization, affiliate marketing, online advertising, partnerships, PR, and social media.
    • Adopt a consistent approach to protect the brand and uphold the company’s digital personality.
    • Elevate awareness of the digital strategy among internal teams and external partners.
    • Monitor and optimize the efficacy of marketing activities, and be involved in market research and innovative project development.

    Qualifications Essentials

    • National Diploma or Equivalent NQF Level 6 Qualifications in Business Management or similar

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Grad Degree or Equivalent NQF Level 7 Qualifications in Marketing, Media or Communications

    Experience

    • A minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience in account management (SVOD Business or Agency experience preferred)
    • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing
    • Excellent Project Management and Digital Campaign Management
    • Effectively Managing 3rd party Vendors and Agencies to deliver additional value for the business
    • Deep understanding of all relevant marketing platforms, including but not limited to Google, Meta, TikTok, X
    • Basic Digital Data Analysis

    Technical Competencies

    • Project Management. Project management tools; Trello, ClickUp, Phabricator
    • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
