    Data Capturer

    Key Purpose

    • To capture information for applications speedily and correctly

    Key Outputs

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to:

    • Capturing of information with a high level of accuracy and speed, efficiently into paradigm.
    • To perform data scrubbing and bulk uploads whilst ensuring that all information captured by the data capturers is accurate.
    • Work according to Pinpoint standards and protocols
    • Working towards a daily target with regards to quality and quantity in order to ensure that Service Levels are met.
    • Checking own work for accuracy
    • Reporting errors made in the indexing process
    • Reporting system performance issues and trends picked up with different scenarios
    • Ad-hoc administrative functions

     
    Competencies

    • Customer Focused – must have the ability to work with a range of people and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. (verbal, written and telephonic)
    • Must be passionate about customer service and be able to provide value added service
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize, plan, manage deadlines and control own work
    • The ability to be self-motivated and pro-active
    • The ability to work under pressure
    • Judgement and problem solving skills
    • Team player
    • Quality orientation/attention to detail

    Qualifications & Experience

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum 12 months experience in a Capture environment
    • Matric
    • Ability to capture at least 30 words per minute with 98% accuracy
    • Computer literacy:
    • MS Office
       

    Advantageous

    • Previous experience with Discovery Health products
    • Insurance industry experience
    • Previous exposure to Discovery’s in house system Paradigm
    • FAIS accreditation or in the process of being accredited
    • Microsoft Office
