    Credit Specialist

    Position Overview

    • Assist and support and train SDM branch staff with offering the Sanlam Credit Solution (SCS) VP to clients.
    • Provide insights and advice on credit reports of SCS users.
    • Guiding clients through their the SCS registration process and explain to clients the self-assisted digital application processes that can be followed from the SCS Dashboard for loans.
    • Meet sales targets for SCS user registrations and Sanlam Personal Loans
    • Conduct local marketing initiatives and conduct presentations with local employers to drive new sales.

    What will you do?

    Key Responsibilities

    • Providing support and recommendations to meet clients' financial needs.

    Loan application assistance:

    • Guide and support clients through the digital self-assisted loan application process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.

    Credit report Support

    • Assist clients in registering for their credit report and explain the contents clearly.
    • Offer insights on improving credit scores and maintain good credit health.

    Client relationship management

    • Build & maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients through exceptional service and follow-ups
    • Foster a collaborative and learning-focused environment within the team.

    Sales Target achievement

    • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets by proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and client acquisition.

    Follow up and retention

    • Ensure customer satisfaction & retention, including post loan approval check ins.

    Cross- selling

    • Identify opportunities to cross sell or refer other financial products and services.

    Compliance & Risk Management

    • Monitor and mitigate potential risks associated with loan applications and approvals.

    Qualification and Experience

    • Sound experience and understanding of the working and value drivers of credit products
    • Two to three years in a credit related environment
    • Understanding of credit and specific unsecured lending products
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven sales track record
