Civil Engineer -Transportation at AECOM

Job Description

You will be working on pavement designs of roads / highways internationally as well as across the Africa region, giving you access to a variety of projects, including major projects. In addition to this there is a requirement to be involved in project management and delivery of key projects as required by the business.Design:Proficient in the use of pavement design software (Rubicon toolbox, cncPave), advantageous experience with FaarfieldAdvantageous to have AutoCAD, Civil 3D design experienceAbility to do concept and detail design for multi-disciplinary projects specifically road and highway design in both the flexible and rigid pavement environment;Experience in rehabilitation design, greenfields pavement design, municipal, provincial and national road designCalculate and compile schedule of quantities;Assist with standard setting and be responsible for quality assurance of products i.e. drawings and reports.Compilation of tender documentation including quantities and cost estimatesManaging and delivering projects as required.Report writing and presentation skills.Compliance with ISO standards of the companyProject Management: Acts as Project Manager on discipline-specific projects and supports the Associate Director/ Technical Director.Ensures that project teams comply with project execution plans,  project management and BIM management plans, and adhered to throughout the project delivery process.Has an excellent understanding of project delivery requirements.Provides input to the development of the budget and schedule to meet requirements.Carries out performance reviews of the projects you are working on.Able to monitor and track the budget for the overall project of their specific discipline.Responsible to coordinate with the other disciplines

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:5 years experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Tertiary qualification B.EngProfessional registration preferable Pr.Eng
