    Central Planning Analyst: WOMAN Standalone

    • We are looking for a resilient, efficient individual with a compelling commercial flair and strong analytical abilities to add value by, driving product profitability, through providing exceptional merchandise insights to relevant stakeholders whilst supporting the merchandise plan in accordance with Company strategies and aid in growing this area of our business.
    • This position, based at our Support Centre in Kuilsriver reports directly to the Central Planning Manager.

    Qualifications    
    Essential:

    • A Grade 12 Certificate/Matric
    • Comm./ B. Science degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics and/or Business Science
    • National Diploma majoring in Internal Auditing and/or Cost and Management Accounting 
    • National Diploma in Financial Information Systems
    • National Diploma/ degree in Business/Retail/Merchandise Management or Accounting/Finance

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience    
    KNOWLEDGE required:

    • Knowledge of the retail merchandise cycle and merchandise planning processes
    • Knowledge of the SA retail clothing market, customers, and competitors
    • Knowledge of seasonal & replenishment products

    SKILLS required:

    • Excellent numerical skills
    • Analytical thinking & logical problem-solving
    • Merchant skills & a sound commercial mentality
    • Interpersonal and relationship-building
    • Planning, organising & time management.
    • Conflict resolution skills

    EXPERIENCE required:
    Essential:

    • A minimum of 3+ years of Product Planning experience within a clothing retail environment
    • Working experience in planning systems such as Merchandise Financial Plans
    • Working experience in the latest Microsoft packages (Word, PowerPoint & Advanced Excel)

    Preferred:

    • Experience working in planning systems such as Assortment Planning, & and replenishment (2-3 years)
    • Exposure to Business Intelligence systems
    • Exposure to basket analysis
    • Previous exposure to and understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Conducting intensive analysis and provide basket merchandise insights to relevant stakeholders
    • Proactively reporting on exceptions, risks & opportunities identified in the analysis of product performance
    • Provide the business unit with possible actions to minimize risk and maximize opportunity
    • Provide inputs into the project plan to achieve the agreed objective and provide support to aid decision making
    • Communicate effectively to influence Merchant teams based on insights gathered to ensure the Company merchandise strategy is impacted positively.
    • Continuously and creatively enhancing reporting methods to ensure relevance
