    Analyst

    Key Purpose

    • Gather, analyse, and synthesise information to support decision making and communication within the Special Projects: Innovation and Strategy team in Discovery Health

    Key Outputs

    • Information gathering (Independently acquires high-quality data relevant to key issues)
    • Information synthesis (consolidates and makes sense of information from many sources)
    • Qualitative and quantitative data analysis to support decision makers (Able to complete quantitative and qualitative analyses with guidance from a manager, skilled in use of Excel and manipulation of data)
    • Reporting (Structures and writes sections of documents - in presentation or report format - with manager guidance)
    • Presentation design, building and communication
    • Innovation (identifies new innovations and/or business process improvements)
    • Project management (Manages own timelines for distinct modules of the project with guidance from manager; meets deadlines)
    • Define, manage, and track strategic projects and pilots with key focus on data supported decision making

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 with Maths
    • An Honours Degree or equivalent
    • 1-2 years of management consulting experience is essential
    • A core understanding of Project Management principles 
    • Project management and a proven track record of executing strategies to solve business challenges
    • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

    Advantageous

    • An understanding of Agile and Scrum is advantageous
