Quality Assurance Manager at TFG (The Foschini Group)

Job description

The TFG Design Centre has an exciting and challenging Quality Manager position available within their division. The successful candidate will be based in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. Key activities include:

• Developing and implementing a regional Quality Management System
• Managing and co-ordinating the Quality function from Seal through to delivery to ensure compliance to company standards:
• Ensuring both raw material and product quality within agreed standards
• Conducting inspections within our factories
• Checking and approving samples required for Retail and Design customers
• Implementing and monitoring of TFGA processes in factories

Key Requirements:

• Matric and relevant qualification (degree/diploma)
• Proven working experience in an Apparel Quality Assurance environment (8-10 years)
• Sound knowledge of garment construction and pattern technology
• Strong planning, administration and problem solving skills
• Computer literacy in word and excel
• Good organisational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to work under pressure
