General Manager : Biotech Lignin at Sappi

Job description

Sappi Biotech Lignin requires a suitably General Manager to manage commercial activities , execute product development plans supporting sales growth and margin improvement in new market segments.

• Responsible for the execution of the longer term business strategy related to lignin products produced in South Africa which includes the regional and global sales & marketing of products.
• Execute the Sappi Biotech lignin strategy with emphasis on products from South Africa.
• Accountable for the overall profitability of the Southern African Portfolio.
• Development of a product market strategy supporting medium to long term corporate goals.
• To direct technical teams toward product design and develop a quality assurance system in support of customer needs.
• Analysis of market and competitive trends and translating these into the development of customer value propositions.
