    IT Solutions Manager

    Job description

    The IT Solution Manager who will be responsible for Huawei IT solutions. Thorough market analysis, industry trends studies, business targets and field funnelled feedbacks are the information you will gather to enhance and recommend directions for your solution. The IT Solution Manager has the responsibility for the solution revenue target and market share in Global Market.

    The position requires a good understanding of customers' data centre environment, architectures and deployment plan in order to develop relevant marketing materials and articulate the clear vision of each solution.

    The IT Solution Manager is also involved in pre-sales worldwide activities, teaming up with local strategic project teams when required. Involvement in industry standards meetings, presentations during tradeshows and/or technology forum to represent Huawei Technologies is an integral part of the job.

    The person will be responsible for driving the business for Data Centre L1 Infrastructure facilities in both enterprise and telecom operator market. He/she will also be responsible for developing and achieving the relationship with SI and channels and must be familiar with UPS and other infrastructures of data centre or solar power generation. A broad understanding of competitive offerings across multiple industries is also required.

    MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work with the Account Managers on the competitive strategy, business plan and action plan for Cloud Data Center Solutions sales in the region,.
    • Act as a technical consultant for customer, provide network design & planning proposal in the field of Cloud Data Center solution.
    • Must be able to manage Cloud Data Center pre-sales activities including but not restraint to SOC preparation for RFI & RFQ & RFP, network solution design, technical clarification, BOQ discussion & finalization, etc.
    • Manage marketing and promotion activities of Huawei Cloud Data Center solutions and able to prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to customers.
    • Interact directly with prospective and current customers to effectively promote the solution/product and identify customer requirements.
    • Analyze and trace development of the regional telecom market as well as the responsible account, output market strategy and promotion plan.
    • Supporting field/customer requests for product support and problem resolution

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in IT, Engineering or any business related qualification will be an advantage
    • At least 5 to 10 years Data Centre facilities Sales experience across all industries with a proven successful track record
    • Industry Specific Certifications (HP/ EMC / VMware / Cisco / Symantec) – Optional
    • Responding to tenders and writing proposals
    • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generating of leads
    • Minimum 5 years in a Storage & Server Pre Sales Function
    • Presentation and persuasive skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Proven ability to work in a team
    • Must be able to work in a structured manner
    • Developed problem solving abilities
    • Ability to multi task
