    About The Role

    • Global Compliance Services is a specialised unit within Tax Services using custom built software and tailored work processes to ensure efficient and effective tax compliance services for our clients. GCS in PE has a vacancy for a corporate tax compliance senior consultant who will be responsible for the preparation of corporate income tax returns.
    • 3 To 5 Years Experience In Tax Is Required

    Essential skills and experience

    • Knowledge and experience in the application of the Income Tax Act
    • Experience with the preparation of corporate income tax returns and related matters
    • Must be accurate and have good judgmental, numerical and analytical skills
    • Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel

    Required Qualifications

    • An accounting degree or similar qualification, a Tax qualification will be advantageous
    • Qualified CA

    • Have good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    • Pays attention to detail and have the ability to follow through on tasks

    Responsibilities

    • Management of the delivery of corporate income tax returns for local and international companies
    • Preparation/ Review of corporate income tax returns and supporting schedules using electronically captured data
    • Review of provisional tax payments and preparation of IRP’6
    • Review income tax assessments
    • Liaison with the Client Relationship Manager’s regarding clients' affairs
    • Managing a portfolio of compliance clients
    • Maintaining client records on the Pioneer system and using the system to produce documentation
    • Attending to queries raised by SARS and general liaison with SARS regarding clients' affairs
    • Ensuring that clients' tax compliance affairs are kept up to date and that SARS deadlines are met
    • Complying with Tax risk management procedures
    • Delivering quality tax services
    • Management of WIP (Work in Progress) and debtors
    • Coaching junior staff and management of work performance
    • Supervision and technical support/development of junior staff
    • Ensuring that clients' tax compliance affairs are kept up to date and that SARS deadlines are met
    • Assistance to management on staff technical training
