Description
Location : Based in Africa or Asia
The Principal Investigator will be primarily responsible for overall management and oversight of all aspects of the Program on “Building Global Capacity to Support Diagnostic Testing of Tuberculosis, HIV and Other HIV-Related Infections/Diseases under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)”. He/she will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and quality assurance for all laboratory activities and will be the focal point person for all high level communication with the National Public Health Laboratory Services and the Ministry of Health, CDC, PEPFAR, and other local and international partner organizations.
Job Summary / Responsibilities
Lead and provide management oversight and technical guidance to Program on the “Building Global Capacity to Support Diagnostic Testing of Tuberculosis, HIV and Other HIV-Related Infections/Diseases under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)”, and oversee project technical and strategic planning;
Represents the Program and acts as a focal point for CDC and other partners;
Responsible for overseeing financial and programmatic reporting to CDC;
Maintain an extensive network of local and international Tuberculosis, HIV and other HIV-related infections/diseases program implementers and clinical professionals and responsible for managing all partnerships;
Engage and supervise Tuberculosis, HIV and other HIV-related infections/diseases personnel to assist with training, technical assistance and capacity building related to laboratory policies and quality management systems; and M&E
