Job description
Our client, a high end beauty company located in Soho is looking for several 3D Designer. They have offsite freelance, on site freelance and a 4 month maternity fill in the pipeline.
The team works on pretty much anything that’s a three dimensional object in a retail store that’s smaller than a piece of furniture [and sometimes bigger ones too!] - the majority of the work is display design for the products [seasonal collection launch displayers, permanent product displayers, one-off themed display units etc. etc.] but they also do packaging design [not the cartons but the actual primary package, e.g.: a new mascara, a new foundation bottle etc.] and then more complex things like complete merchandising systems for travel retail or our own stores.
They have done lots of odd things like pieces of jewelry for the store staff to wear, holiday gifts for the whole company, an eight foot tall lipstick shaped merchandising kiosk, presentation boxes for VIP gifts etc. etc…
Background can actually be pretty flexible – it isn’t at all a requirement that they have an industrial design degree but they need to show a good taste level, technical ability and skill [including, ideally, hands on 3D making experience as well as CAD], experience of working in a professional environment and I guess some degree of familiarity with the materials and processes we use…
Must have Illustrator and Rhino, preferably keyshot.
