General Summary
The incumbent is to have business and financial acumen relevant to the role, will have to be a strong communicator and will have to have experience in planning and organising to achieve divisional and company objectives. Key Responsibility Areas
Administrative Responsibilities
- Microsoft EOC (European Operations Centre) first contact to for all
- One training module to be completed via PLC on MPN per quarter which is relevant to the job in line with product releases and competencies Sales engagement
- Direct engagement with AWG sales teams in Johannesburg, Gauteng
- Direct interface with AWG resellers and in some cases end users, to successfully implement licensing solutions that maximize partner revenue contribution across the Microsoft VL Open
- License product set.
- Those discussions to cover CSP as well as Open VL License business in relevant cases
- Responsible for educating sales teams on new programs and licensing changes and driving licensing self-sufficiency with sales teams
- Communicate all current and new product information to the software sales teams on the product price list and share with all internal and external sales teams in Johannesburg.
- Ensure that Microsoft VL promotions are working within sales teams to ensure Microsoft solutions are positioned correctly and most cost effectively for the benefit of our partners.
- Weekly communication with external account managers and renewals teams with regards to current deals, including pipeline and funnel management for both new and renewal/recurring opportunities.
- Regular updates from top 50 partners with reference to current deals pending and funnel management, to be shared in the weekly Microsoft forecast conference call.
- Negotiate successful solutions with these partners while maximizing revenue.
- Training and licensing presentations to partners and internal staff will be required on a regular basis.
- Ensure that all product questions and escalations are answered and resolved within guidelines as detailed in quarterly team meeting
- This position is measured on AWG territory market share in USD and % (business measurement) on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Vendor Commitments
- Input required at Microsoft QBR (quarterly) with reference to big wins and specific feedback.
- Weekly forecasts and one month forward view with any deviations.
- Complete applicable vendor training as stipulated in AWG distribution contract/s.
Job Requirements: Education &
Experience
- Matric
- Min 5 yrs. experience in software sales advantageous
- Tertiary business and/or marketing qualification would be beneficial
- Microsoft Office knowledge
- Experience within the IT sector preferable
- Own car and drivers licence
