Job description

Purpose of the job:

To provide specialist ER expertise and guidance within the Premier group, ensuring an environment of labour peace is created through harmonious working relationships between management and labour.

Key Performance Areas:

• Labour law/legal/ conditions of employment.
• Collective bargaining
• Dispute resolution with extensive exposure and experience in CCMA employer representation
• Advisory services
• Training

Requirements:

Experience:

• At least 4 years solid ER/IR experience
• Working experience in a unionised environment is a must
• Working knowledge of labour law and legislation
• Working knowledge of dispute resolution mechanisms up to CCMA level

Qualifications:

• Relevant HR/ER qualification
• Postgraduate qualification in Labour Law

• Business acumen
• Ability to facilitate training

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work beyond normal working hours when necessary
• Extensive travelling to sites in the group as required
• Fast-paced FMCG environment
• Have reliable own transport
• Facilitate internal ER programmes as required.
• EE candidate preferred
• Ability to speak an African language
