The Services Technician is the entry level position in the Dimension Data Technical family. They work closely with Technicians and Senior Services Technician to provide basic maintenance, fault-finding and break/fix functions for clients.
The primary responsibility of the Services Technician is to engage with clients and assist with fault-finding and break/fix function at lower levels of complexity. They are methodical and demonstrate problem solving skills in trouble shooting hardware and software solutions. At times, they may be required to assist with the installation of new hardware and software. They test installations and assist with fixing performance issues of installed software, escalating problems where applicable.

By working with their team to ensure a quality solution for the client, the Services Technician will contribute to client engagement and the success of their team. Services Technicians are proactive and hands on.
The individual works toward obtaining industry (technology and product) certifications.
