In this role you will manage the commercial team which consists of a Meat Trader, Key Accounts Manager, Exports/Imports co-ordinator, Sales administrators, as well as NPD professionals and you will be tasked on achieving commercial revenue targets for the business.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in the local marketplace but can also demonstrate a successful track record of working in different international marketplaces.
Key Duties & Responsibilities of role will include:
- To maintain good customer relationships with current top retailers
- To assist and develop the company’s business and market share
- To manage the Commercial team on a day to day basis to ensure successful achievement of targets.
- Analyse the trends within the red meat industry sector and position the company to maximise market opportunities.
Experience Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience in a Commercial Manager role, in a similar Manufacturing environment, ie red meat industry
- Category Insight for Added value and Primal red meat products
- Good understanding of setting strategy and increasing margin
- Strong knowledge & understanding of the red meat trade/industry
- Experience of managing very high value contracts is essential
- Previous experience in managing a commercial/sales team
- A good knowledge of P+L accounting Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proactive approach, ie analysing the trends within the red meat industry, and proactively making strategic decisions
- Action orientated and able to multi-task
- Comfortable in a high speed and dynamic business environment
- Excellent communicator; assertive, with superior organisational and time management skills
