The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for the analysis of the topline and related matters. This individual will need to be innovative and assertive as they need to both support and challenge top line functions from a financial point of view. The Business Planning Manager will build, analyse and make recommendations on business optimization/investment in consultation with other functions, as well as build and monitor budgets vs. actuals and communicate this information to the top line company

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Strategic Management

• Support the sales senior team in developing the commercial strategy and analyzing the potential sales impact and profitability of different strategies (Pricing)
• Support of Management (GM and directors) in evaluating top line strategies from a financial standpoint.
• Lead the financial evaluation of impact of price increases on financials of company as well as impact on business strategies

Financial Analysis

• Monitor commercial spend vs YA /Rolling Forecasts
• Month end closing - volume & net sales
• Daily monitoring of sales, sales rates, promo spend and reporting to various stakeholders (including liaising with FM: Mayo and consolidating results with Danone)
• Daily and monthly monitoring of product mix
• Monitor, Control and Report commercial spend. Implement mechanisms and tools to facilitate this
• Support the sales team by challenging the commercial strategy based on financial analysis

Financial Planning and Management

Business Planning Owner Of Top Line And TTM

• Understand all micro-processes related to sales, within SAP and BI
• Control of Gross sales, commercial spend and Net net sales in G/L
• Maintenance of TTM contractual terms
• Manage and maintain the company financials to ensure that targets are met and exceptions are highlighted
• Monthly reporting of Vol and Net Sales by Brand, trend analysis and by brand by month rolling forecasts
• Working with the Financial Controller and OTC teams: Control Rebate and Coop spend and loading of commercial terms into TTM.
• Approval of Rebate and Coop payments in conjunction with Commercial teams.

Business Planning Co-owner Of Fuel Committee (Collaboration With Marketing Analyst)

• Measurement of results against budgets and providing feedback on effectiveness of Commercial spend: Evaluation of ROI of Commercial spend and making recommendations based on findings
• Working closely with Commercial team and monitoring all Commercial spend (including free stock/ clearance sales, once off promotions etc)
• Assist Commercial team to build financial case to support request for additional funding.

Business Planning Owner Of S&OP

• Closely collaborate with demand planning team on rolling forecast of sales.
• Providing demand planning team with relevant inserts for GPS presentation on product mix etc
• Challenge Commercial and demand planning teams on reasonability of forecasts

Budget

• Build the Rolling Forecasts from volume to Net sales by customer/SKU
• Build Rolling Forecasts from volume to net sales
• Build the company rolling forecasts

Reporting

• On time and accurate generation of internal and group reporting

The Junior Warehouse Manager oversees the receipt, storage and dispatch of products in a safe and efficient way. He/she mobilizes his/her team and sets up the right processes and tools to ensure his/her site's main objectives are met in terms of Safety, Quality, Service and Costs.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Assist In Managing Safety And Quality In The Warehouse Thereby

• Ensuring that the standards are in place and continuously measured on the site in terms of Safety (WISE), Food Safety (AIB), Quality and Stock Management
• Ensuring a safe, healthy work environment
• Managing the reject material process for sending material back to suppliers
• Ensuring allergen storage, chemicals and empty containers management are done according to prescribed guidelines
• Contributing to industrial audits by providing evidence and information as required by audit requirements (Safety, GMP, Suppliers)
• Ensuring quality requirements and checks in the stores regarding inspection of incoming material and rejection of material

Assist In Managing Cost And Productivity Thereby

• Impacting both the CANN (through the management of Raws and Pack suppliers and CSL) and the bottom line (Total Cost to Serve: picking accuracy and efficiency etc.)
• Managing and optimizing fixed costs
• Managing and maintaining fixed assets in the warehouse
• Managing the warehouse expenditure within budget
• Managing projects according to budget and in planned timelines
• Managing overall process adherence in the Warehouse
• Setting up a continuous improvement approach at the shopfloor level (DaMaWay, DaLogWay) involving his/her staff, to deliver the site's SQCDME targets in a sustainable manner

Ensure Delivery of Operational Goals

• Implementation of the departmental strategy aligned with operational needs
• Manage levels of inventories and define inventory policies
• Responsible for the management of all physical flows including traceability
• Physical management of Raws and Packs inventory
• Ensure FIFO principles are followed
• Managing, tracking the shop order preparation, picking based on business demands
• Manage service level to industrial
• Measure, track and follow up on KPIs on an ongoing basis (monthly, daily etc.). Logistic report, GMP reports, WISE tracking etc.
• Ensure data integrity and transactions on TEKDAN and SAP
• Train users in the team on relevant SAP and TEKDAN and other warehouse related systems
• Manage stock counting daily, weekly, monthly and annual year end counts.
• Manage off site counting of Danone stock at external warehouses
• Manage new item development and/or production process for warehouse storage
• Ensure stock rotation and expiry dates of raws and packs
• Ensure correct temperature control areas for product requirements
• Manage daily checks on equipment in accordance with guidelines

Assist With Managing Team Morale, Effectiveness And Development Thereby

• Training and coaching of team to ensure optimal competency levels
• Overseeing and managing the DaMaWay process and meetings
• Attending and contribute to TOP meetings
• Recruiting, developing and managing team to perform optimally
• Ensure Environmental Sustainability
• Ensure that good manufacturing practices are followed
• Adhere to Danone Way and DANGO audit requirements

Academic And Trade Qualifications

• Bcom Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent
• Up to date with logistics legislation, development and best practice

Work Experience And Skills

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in FMCG supply chain operations
• SAP Experience preferred
• Proven experience in warehouse operations and productivity initiatives.
• Strong understanding of relevant regulations and legislation
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office), numeracy and analytical skills.
