    Qualification

    Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science (including registration with South African Veterinary Council)

    Experience

    Minimum 2 years Veterinary Science experience (across any species)

    Job Description

    • To provide technical expertise to customers; Business Unit team and Marketing to ensure the long term profitability and growth of the Animal Health business
    • To contribute and support the Business Unit in achieving the annual sales target
    • To establish, maintain and grow industry relationships
    • Develop and implement innovative technical support service programs for large customers or veterinary practices, to manage products sustainably
    • In alliance with Regulatory, oversee, report and assign causality to Business Unit specific adverse events in accordance with the pharmacovigilence / compliance responsibilities

    Key Objectives/Deliverables

    • To provide technical training to sales representatives on the products within the range, ensuring that marketing material is technically accurate

    • Take a proactive role in forming working relationships and supplying information to various groups that support the specific animal business industry

    • Provide expert advice in product launches and product life cycle management
    • Design and manage trials to test new and existing products for maximising commercial success of products in the target markets

    Job description

    Qualification

    Bachelor’s degree (preference for Agricultural, Life Science & Veterinary Science)

    Experience

    Minimum 5 years related experience in sales within the Animal Health industry

    • To manage Dairy, Feedlot and Veterinary Clinic key accounts within Gauteng and surroundings, acting as a trusted advisor to the customer.
    • To build relationships with customers and promote sales within the Dairy, Feedlot and Veterinary Clinic industry.

    Key Objectives/Deliverables

    • To identify and target medium to large customers.
    • Meet territory sales objectives.
    • Accountable for the attainment of monthly and yearly sales targets through the planning and execution of account plans for key accounts.
    • Monitor and control budgets on a monthly basis.
    • Prospecting for new customers.
    • Promote and detail products and services to key account customers and related stakeholders (includes end users, veterinarians and veterinary clinics, co-ops, distributors and wholesalers).
    • Cultivate long-term customer relationships in order to promote and reinforce the client’s value proposition.
    • Follow up on customer requests, orders placed, out of stock situations and all communication to customers.
    • Identify opportunities to grow the client’s market share: plan, execute and achieve sales growth
    • Obtain complete knowledge of competitor products and markets
    • Maintain up-to-date record keeping and administration (which includes territory plans, sales reports, CRM etc.)
    • Technical knowledge of industry, key diseases, life cycles and solutions.
    • Follow up customer quality complaints on products in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
    • Weekly sales reporting to management.
