    Store Assistant Manager_Power Fashion Burgersfort

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Banking of money 
    • Relieve store manager 
    • Maintain company standards of housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security

    Assistant Store Manager Mr Price Cellular

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Stock Management:

    • Ensure that stock is accurately received & unpacked to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
    • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes (stock counts, stock takes, stock loss action plans etc.) to mitigate risks (stock loss) and ensure adequate stock on hand.
    • Oversee the overall maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
    • Assist with authorising write offs, breakages, recalls, OBF (out of box failures), cellular repairs and returns.                               

    Sales Growth & Profitability:

    • Analyse sales & profitability reports in store to collaborate with management on required operational action plans, increase sales performance and monitor store expenditure.
    • Monitior, review and keep abreast of in-store product performance to provide feedback to support centre and enhance sales.
    • Keep abreast of new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness. This may include: in-store marketing, competitor shopping. 
    • Drive credit, Insurance , Mobile and Cellular performance to achieve the agreed budget.

    Risk Management:

    • Assist the store manager to conduct compliance checks through defined processes (e.g. admin checks, store audits, visual audits, COMO reports, POS reports, health & safety standards, weekly hanger counts, security etc.) to ensure and enforce overall compliance to policies and procedures.               

    Customer Experience Management:

    • Ensure and maintain the implementation of customer experience processes (through the execution of business instruction letters, markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer experience plans, visual standards, customer feedback, general housekeeping etc.) to meet customer service standards.     

    Leadership & Development:

    • Lead and drive the team within a store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.
    • Identify & drive training, coaching and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
    • Recruit, administer & manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.      

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • NQF level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent.
    • 3 Years' Experience in Retail (Management Experience Advantageous).

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Strategy

    • Apply a strategic mindset to the finance department of the future and create a plan on how to get there.
    • Optimal organisation of resources to achieve standard reporting objectives while enabling the daily contribution to business and commercial decisions.
    • Create a view on how to streamline and automate routine monthly reporting and drive to make this happen.

    Budget Strategy

    • Efficient monitoring of performance to budget
    • Contribution to the budget and strategy process
    • Policies and Procedures
    • Conduct all processes in a manner that upholds integrity and company values and all other good governance principles.
    • Ensure that financial solutions provided fall within the legislative framework.

    Financial Reporting

    Monthly:

    • Timeous compilation of inputs into monthly general management booklets (GMB) packs for distribution to Group Finance and the Board.
    • Strategic compilation of monthly forecasts to track where the business is in terms of the agreed budget.
    • Efficient oversight of overheads expenditure
    • Monthly cash flow statements and cash flow control
    • Provide supplementary analysis and commentary
    • Oversight of all functions required to finalize a complete and accurate GL close-out

    Half Year and Year End:

    • Strategic collating of financial data
    • Timely submission of half-year and year-end report packs inclusive of supportive financial data and reporting
    • Collaboration with external auditors
    • Fixed Asset Management
    • Management and oversight of the organisation’s assets.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Registered CA(SA) or CIMA
    • 5 – 10 years’ experience in a Financial Management role in a retail environment
    • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
    • Proven ability to plan, organise and work methodically
    • Ability to lead both direct and indirect reports
    • High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Experience with D365 and Oracle

    • Liaising with business and across IT teams to determine requirements, expanding on these requirements, designing appropriate database solutions and documenting these in a specification.
