    Associate - Fraud, Investigations & Regulatory Enforcement (FIRE)

    PwC Forensics has been helping organizations deal with the issues such as fraud, corruption and dishonesty, both in proactive and reactive situations. Our Forensics Cape Town team have assisted organizations to manage these issues and focus on outcomes that address reputation protection, asset recovery and prevention.
    PwC Forensics Cape Town provides first-hand experiences in assisting clients with serious business needs. We have developed methodologies and strategies that help clients handle difficult circumstances.
    We are seeking for ambitious team players with exceptional analytical skills and a well-rounded personality to become part of our dynamic team in Cape Town.
    Your role as an Associate will focus on the delivery of client engagements, by understanding objectives for clients and PwC, aligning your own work to objectives and setting personal priorities, teaming with others across businesses and borders and taking accountability for own and team results. In this role, you will build relationships and exercise your communication skills in order to positively influence your peers and other stakeholders. You will commit to personal learning and development by actively seeking opportunities for growth, you will share knowledge and experience with others, and act as a strong brand ambassador.

    Responsibilities 

    • Investigate matters relating to economic crime, i.e. allegations of fraud, corruption and/or irregularities including document review, research, quality control, and perform accounting, economic, and financial statement analysis within established timeframes and budgets allocated
    • Summarise, analyse, and prepare reports and findings in a clear, logical, and concise manner and appendices
    • Provide general support to team on a variety of tasks in connection with project execution, and communicate with clients and other sources for the purpose of obtaining relevant information and documents
    • Assist in conducting integrity due diligence reviews using various local and international online public sources and databases
    • Maintain the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality
    • Contribute to new business proposals and development for Forensic Services

    The successful candidate will need to complete a CFE Learnership

    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Good working knowledge of data analytics

    DESCRIPTION
    As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
    • Conduct fraud risk management projects under the guidance provided by our managers. The fraud risk management engagements, include, but are not limited to:
    • Fraud risk assessments;
    • Ethics risk assessments;
    • Fraud and Ethics Awareness training; and
    • Development, review and drafting of fraud risk guiding documents, inter alia including Fraud prevention and detection plans/strategies
    • Conduct investigations under the guidance provided by our managers
    • Train and lead staff
    • Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
    • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
    • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
    • Be actively involved in business development activities (including compiling proposals and engagement letters) to help identify and research opportunities on n
    • new/existing clients 
    • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

    BxT Lead

    • Design, direct and coordinate the creation of a world class Experience Center - facilitation and solution design capability;
    • Create, maintain and execute on a business development & relationship strategy and create and a client engagement pipeline that will meet – and exceed - required utilisation levels and revenue;
    • Be responsible for the commercial management of Sandbox engagements and targets, as well as quality control of experience delivery;
    • Lead and contribute to business development and client pursuit activities as a BxT subject matter expert;
    • Direct the Experience Center, and specifically The Sandbox team, to develop repeatable, scalable, market relevant  Experience Center service offerings;
    • Drive the development and activation of of standardised BxT programs and materials to ensure  companywide adoption of the program;
    • Engage and confidently communicate with senior stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to translate complex issues into coherent problem and opportunity statements;
    • Be up to date with relevant market and industry trends;
    • Be able to influence and persuade clients and stakeholders through a practical, co-creative approach to solve important problems and attain stakeholder buy-in and support;
    • Encourage and facilitate collaboration across all units and disciplines and promote a diverse and inclusive working environment;
    • Create and maintain ecosystem relationships with individuals, groups or organisations which will generate leads, enhance the client experience or lead to the further development of the business;

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Bachelor degree with expertise in Design Thinking, Digital strategy, Customer strategy, Business strategy.
    • Post-graduate qualification in the innovation domain will be a distinct advantage, as well as qualifications/ certifications in the digital transformation domain (e.g. Agile Coach, Scrum Master etc.)


    EXPERIENCE 

    • At least 10+ years professional experience in a management consulting or other professional services environment
    • Team building and management
    • Cross-industry and -sector knowledge and experience with a solid grasp of standard business value chains
    • Digital transformation/ product service development experience, ideally in a start-up or corporate innovation context
    • Solid commercial and sales acumen
