    EHS Specialist - Port Elizabeth

    Responsibilities

    • Work with operational warehouse/DC team to fully implement PepsiCo EHS Standards across all departments and shifts.
    • Attend Monthly Site Management meetings to address critical areas of EHS performance and drive resolution of action plans.
    • Develop & ensure implementation of all the required EHS compliance procedures, work instructions & policies.
    • Lead roll-out of PepsiCo EHS Best Practices across all departments and shifts.

    Site Control Room Coordinator- Ceres

    Responsibilities

    The tasks of the Site Control Room Co-ordinator are not limited to the following:

    • In line with the Country broader strategy, assist the Site Security Supervisor in implementing the Site Security Plan to identify, assess and mitigate risks to PepsiCo’s associates, facilities, proprietary information, and brand/reputation.
    • Assist the Site Crisis ManagementTeam, with execution of security functions as part of the Business Continuity Plans of the premises.
    • Assist Site Security Supervisor in ensuring that the premises is compliant with the Site security plan (technological ,Procedural, Manned guarding ,Architectural )
    • Maintain strong working relationships with local management teams.
    • Ensure compliance with PepsiCo AMESA Security Risk Management System and supporting standards and procedures.
    • Advise and assist before, during and after security incidents, including on-the-spot risk assessments and security advice to site leaders.
    • Assist site Security Supervisor / Assistant Area Security Manager and or area Security Manager in providing CCTV footage in and when needed during investigations that could include counterfeit, extortion, contamination of our products, loss reduction, kidnapping, robberies, Speak Up, fraud, corruption, and security threats against the Site’s interests and associates.
    • During strike operations or labor disputes assist the Site Security Supervisor and Security Management Team in providing information to the Site Management.
    • Ensure Control Room teams monitor the execution of functions by the security guard company to ensure quality security services are rendered and different security functions are executed according to the different guarding positions SOP’s
    • Assist the Site Security Supervisor to Manage the 3P Security Providers and evaluate their service on a monthly basis according to the set KPI’s.
    • To ensure the continued professional development of his/her Control Room personnel to include the identification of suitable individuals in longer-term succession planning.
    • Implementation of all Security Policies, Plans and Site SOP’s
    • Report Incidents immediately to Site Security Supervisor and ensure compiling of reports according to Security Policies.
    • To review the recording of CCTV on a daily basis to ensure that there are no irregularities.
    • In conjunction with Site Security Supervisor provide the required evidence in the event of any security incident and support EHS on any Safety Incidents evidence if and when required.
    • Ensure the accurate recording of all events and actions monitored from within the control room. Including the maintenance of daily logs.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding business environment;
    • A minimum of 5 years of working experience; 3 years Control Room experience in private sector (preferably industrial sectors) with accountabilities and key measures listed above;
    • Knowledge of best security practices, principles and objectives;
    • Knowledge of Security Systems, ie Access Control, Video Management Systems, Visitor Management systems, Vehicle tracking systems etc.
    • Well-refined interpersonal skills;
    • Security PSIRA ( Grade A) qualification.
    • A working proficiency of written and spoken English.
    • Ability to work among a team of peers.
    • Ability to work in a challenging VUCA environment and to be connected 24/7.
