    Process Engineer

    Job Purpose

    To deal with and influence Strategic and tactical aspects of discovering; validating; documenting; and communicating business-process-related knowledge through modelling; simulating and analysing current and future states. Focus on complex business outcomes and technical aspects in line with the business Strategy. Support and facilitate process improvement initiatives across multiple functional areas by leveraging LEAN, Six Sigma, and Customer Experience Management techniques. Provide support throughout implementation of process initiatives to assure people/process/technical solutions align with Strategic intent.

    Working in a business environment (Banking) with strong business leaders, requires taking the lead with Business Process Engineering capabilities and methodologies, and ability to facilitate, influence, sell and contribute to business process improvements and automation opportunities. Incumbent will be part of, and report into, a Business Process Management team in CIB that has the objective to grow Business Process capabilities and skills over time.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Define/Scope/Estimate/Design efforts for business process improvement initiatives to deliver an optimal business and functional alignment to the Strategic framework.
    • Ensure business processes risks are documented and mitigated.
    • Apply process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles using best practices (i.e. Lean Six Sigma, CEM, Metrics, Goal Alignment, etc.)
    • Ensures all changes to processes are reflected in the repository of process documentation (ARIS).
    • Contribute to the design/modelling of organization-wide process projects impacting business units in Corporate and Investment Banking Cluster
    • Work with business process owners and technology partners to establish and maintain excellent working relationships and promote team services and capabilities across clusters
    • Ability to conduct process simulations and demos
    • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals (targets) and support business strategies that improve corporate image by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. Surveys etc.).
    • Achieve business Strategy by participating and encouraging others to participate in and support corporate social responsibility initiatives.
    • Foster transformation of the workplace and support Nedbank achievement of the BEE initiatives and transformation targets; by contributing to an environment where diversity is valued.
    • Improve work processes; productivity and reduce costs by offering innovative ideas and input to Group Risk and/or stakeholders and through soliciting input from managers and colleagues.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations and prevent losses by facilitating risk management in the business and by engaging with relevant stakeholders regarding risk related issues.
    • Keep business updated on a regular basis and analyse information generated from the risk exercises by ensuring that risk monitoring exercises across the business take place and are in line with all known risks.
    • Evaluate and analyze area audit findings and management improvement comments; by assessing whether actions will result in improvement and by making recommendations.
    • Meet financial objectives by containing costs.

    Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

    • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

    Computer Science/Information Systems/ Industrial Engineering / Business Degree

    Senior Manager: Relationship Management - Avo B2B

    Job Purpose

    To lead sales activation and enablement efforts and manage a team of Relationship/ Account Managers. The role is located within Avo B2B (Business to Business), which is a double-sided platform supporting suppliers and their customers with procure-to-pay processes (sales automation and order management) and working capital optimisation.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Manage Financial and Business Results
    • Lead the onboarding and enablement of strategic partners (e.g., suppliers/ sellers) onto the Avo B2B platform
    • Lead acquisition of buyers (e.g. supplier’s debtors) onto the Avo B2B platform
    • Lead the change management and onboarding of buyers 
    • Lead the onboarding of buyers on the platform
    • Manage client experience for strategic partners, suppliers and buyers
    • Overall relationship management for strategic partners, suppliers and buyers, and drive cross sell of Avo propositions
    • Ensure that all individual and department results are delivered within budget to deadlines
    • Ensure budget targets are met by effectively executing and complying to Divisional billing requirements and target
    • Ensure that transparent transfer pricing for provision of products and services for the business area are  being followed through
