    Senior IT Auditor (OT Information Security)

    Short Description / Purpose of Job

    • Manage and execute IT audits with a specific focus on Industrial/ Operational Technology information and cyber security within the Sasol Group in order to mitigate information management and cyber security risks impacting Sasol’s operations and to provide subject matter expertise. Manage audit budget as well as resource allocations on assigned audit tasks when required and ensure timely reporting. Monitor the quality of executed audits against Sasol Assurance Services Operating Manual (SASOM).

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Compile and review planning memorandums and audit programs, re-direct focus to high risk areas, and follow-up on meeting strategic objectives.
    • Execute audits by identifying risks and weaknesses and ensuring that processes and systems comply with applicable policies, standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage and execute planned and ad-hoc audits (own and managed audits) as well as resources in line with planned budgetary requirements and set timelines to contribute to the completion of the integrated risk based annual assurance plan (IRBAAP).
    • Conduct audits to provide assurance that the internal system controls established by management to safeguard assets and liabilities of the company are adequately designed and operating effectively.
    • Ensure the submission of factual and timely reports (own and managed) within the required reporting protocol, and integrate changes as required from stakeholder feedback.
    • Ensure that all audit working papers including the evidence supporting audit report findings and results are adequately captured/ documented.
    • Review audit reports and working papers of audits managed when requested by Senior Manager or Head of Function.
    • Plan, manage, execute and report on overseas audits, when required.
    • Conduct quality peer reviews and adhere to quality improvement practices.
    • Complete task assessments of all team members of audits managed and take appropriate corrective actions.
    • Contribute to the compilation and submission of reports to the Group Executive Committee, Governance Committees, Executive Committees and Sasol Limited Audit Committee.
    • Monitor progress against annual audit plan, identify significant governance issues, and escalate to top management as required.
    • Engage with relevant stakeholders, attend relevant stakeholder forums and provide specialist advice.
    • Contribute to the development and drive implementation of the integrated risk based annual assurance plan.
    • Keep up to date with and share knowledge in respect of new/ emerging developments in the internal audit profession and technological solutions.
    • Execute and provide support for non-audit activities as allocated.

    Formal Education

    • Bachelor's Degree

    Min Experience

    • 11 relevant years of experience relating to auditing and information and cyber security in the Information Technology and Operational Technology (Industrial plant) environments
    • Certification & Professional Membership
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP),
    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and/or
    • Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH) and or certifications in Plant Operational Technology security is advantageous.

    Senior Specialist Tools & Systems

    Short Description / Purpose of Job

    • The Snr Specialist Tools & Systems will be responsible for the overall management of the Retail infrastructure from a business perspective in collaboration with the Sasol IT team to drive a uniform and innovative infrastructure environment at retail site level.

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Planning, coordination and execution of installations, moves, additions and changes to the Retail IT infrastructure
    • Management, maintenance and updates of the Retail IT infrastructures and Cyber Security
    • Troubleshoot, repair and support hardware and software issues related to supported internal Retail IT systems and business applications related to the environment

    Senior Data Scientist

    Short Description / Purpose of Job

    • The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for preparing and analysing large data sets in order to apply appropriate data science techniques (statistics / simulation / optimisation/ machine learning, etc) to drive predictive & prescriptive intelligence for business applications.
    • Responsible for the design, engineering, development, operationalisation and modification of complex and/or specialised data science products in accordance with sound analytical principles and standards to drive critical value-adding business decisions.
    • The Senior Data Scientist will forge strong relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders to understand business needs; develop data science products in a way that maximises user buy-in while recognising and capitalising on new improvement opportunities to extract business value.
    • He/she will stay abreast of new/alternative techniques and/or tools for relevant application in the Sasol Energy business.
    • In addition, the senior data scientist will support and mentor junior data scientists in team.

    Formal Education

    • Bachelor’s degree ideally in Statistics / Mathematics / Data Science / Operations Research / Engineering. Master’s degree in above will be advantageous.

    Min Experience

    • At least 8 years of applied experience using advanced analytics, statistical methods and data science.
    • Advanced in coding capability in R/Python and SQL.
    • Applied data science delivery in any of the following areas will be preferred: retail / customer loyalty, price & cost optimisation / inventory optimisation / sales and operations planning / digital twins.
    • Experience in Agile project delivery is required.
    • At least 2 years experience in any of the following: distributed computing, Databricks, Spark, containers, Git, and building effective CI/CD pipelines, PowerBI, web frameworks
    • Applied experience in deep learning techniques (e.g. NLP, computer vision, etc.) is an advantage, but not essential.
    • Good presentation and communication skills with a knack for explaining complex analytical concepts to people from other fields
    • Azure certifications will be preferred.

    • Fluency in computer programming and data structures, with expert coding capability in R/Python and SQL.
    • Applied data science delivery in any of the following areas: retail / customer loyalty, price & cost optimisation / inventory optimisation / sales and operations planning / digital twins will be preferred.
    • Experience in Agile project delivery is required.
    • Demonstrated thought leadership in the field of data science
