    Parts Salesman Hyundai Pinetown

    OBJECTIVES AND KEY TASKS

    Improved Profitability:-

    • To ensure that all required parts for any particular repair or service and additional accessories are offered to customers.
    • To ensure stock is kept safe and in first class condition.
    • Ensure that a receipt, payment or authorised signature is received for all issues.

    Customer Service and Satisfaction:-

    • To ensure that all customers are shown the utmost courtesy and consideration.
    • To ensure that all issues are in first class condition and suitable for use for which purchased.

    Cost Control:-

    • To ensure stock is kept in good condition .
    • To ensure that stock is only issued in accordance with policy regarding payment or charge.
    • To guard against unauthorised withdrawal from stock.
    • To maintain stock control system.
    • To care for stock control, plant and record systems.

    MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Staff:- To assist all company staff in parts identification and, if required, replacements.
    • To assist in training new parts persons.

    Administration:-

    • To ensure all paperwork, documentation, requisitions are properly recorded within stock control system.
    • To ensure that all credit sales are made to an authorised signatory or approved account.
    • To keep all parts catalogues, manufacturers lists, etc. updated and tidy.

    Communications:-

    • To ensure Parts Manager is kept aware of stock movement.
    • To notify Parts Manager of any difference noted when inspecting incoming goods.
    • To maintain good helpful relationships with all customers and their representatives.

    Marketing:-

    • To assist if required in any marketing activity as required.

    Finance:-

    • To ensure all transactions take place according to company policy.
    • To ensure security of all cash and cheques received.
    • To be numerate and literate at the clerical level required.
    • To understand basic vehicle layout, function and location of parts.
    • To be able to identify parts.
    • To have received training in standard stock-keeping system used.
    • To use stock control and location equipment.
    • To be capable of courteous service to customers.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • 2-3 years experience as a Parts Salesperson

    Skills and Personal Attributes

    • Must be Computer Literate.
    • Must have stable track record.

    Dealer Principal - Renault Fourways

    Key Role Responsibilities:

    • Deliver bottom line results while ensuring compliance to company policies and corporate governance.
    • Ensure all departments achieve profit margins agreed to in their objectives/ budgets.
    • Manage cash flow, stock and assets at an optimum level commensurate with profit requirements and a satisfactory return on investment (including cash control/flow, liquidity, stock, debtors, creditors, etc.).
    • Manage stock turnover ratios, stock holding values and sales to meet company objectives.
    • Build and maintain a professional relationship with vehicle manufacturer/s.
    • Develop strategies to drive dealership revenue, profitability and market share in the relevant area.
    • Develop and encourage strong working relationships at all levels in the business.
    • Ensure high standards of quality and workmanship are delivered.
    • Ensure customer acquisition and retention via customer focused interventions in the dealership.
    • Ensure dealer compliance to franchise/OEM standards and target requirements, and MOTUS policies.
    • Be informed and up to date regarding competitor intelligence and awareness via proper market analysis.
    • Forecast and track the performance to measure and improve operational efficiency for the dealership.
    • Facility management, ensuring compliance with OHS requirements, CI rules and general housekeeping is well maintained at all times. Oversee that we set an appropriate brand example in line with the franchise standards.
    • Ensure that there is people capacity in line with delivery, performance objectives and budget.
    • Provide effective leadership and people management (DP's key focus is to act as an effective “manager of managers”).
    • Create a high performing, positive work climate and inclusive culture in the dealership. Responsible to motivate and coach employees, give meaning to work, minimise work disruption and maximise employee productivity.
    • Recruit, develop and retain skilled staff to meet business requirements through the sale of vehicles, associated products, parts and labour, according to financial resources available, in order to create profitability for the Company whilst providing total customer satisfaction.
    • Encourage effective teamwork, self-management and alignment with business values from all dealership staff.
    • Oversee decisions taken by line managers related to recruitment, selection & development, with a view to placing the right person in the right job at the right time, while adhering to dealer Employment Equity plan & targets.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Experience Required:

    • 8+ years relevant retail motor industry experience, of which at least 5 years dealer operations management experience.
    • Effectively managing and leading teams.
    • Knowledge of vehicle financing.
    • Management of vehicle stock & parts stock.
    • Managing vehicle sales and associated products, parts sales and labour sales.
    • A sound understanding of finance and financial transactions.
    • Sound knowledge of Manufacturer and Distributor requirements. OEM brand experience – preferable.

    Minimum Qualification/s Required:

    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12/ Matric) is a minimum educational requirement.
    • A tertiary business/ commercial qualification, including sales & marketing – preferable.
    • Recognised Management/ Leadership Diploma or Certificate – desired.

    Bookings/Costing Clerk (Hyundai Weltevreden Park)

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The Booking Clerk
    • To ensure that all jobs are closed timeously.
    • To ensure that all jobs are costed according to the flat rate manual.
    • Assist Service Advisors during peak times
    • Take service bookings when needed mostly between 07:30 and 10:00
    • Manage diary efficiently ensuring correct hours are booked daily (bucket system)
    • Correct planning to ensure that customer leave timeously during mornings
    • Act as coordinator between service advisors and foreman.
    • To insure booking sheet is up to date and neat.
    • To be friendly and help full to all customers and give the correct information to all customers.
    • To obtain authorization from service plan and fleet company’s in time and accurate
    • Keeping filling up to date Send debtors invoices timeouslyReceptionist/Switchboard Operator
    • To ensure that incoming telephone calls are answered in a timely manner
    • To ensure customers comfort in the reception area
    • To manage the switchboard i.e. transferring calls, taking messages etc
    • To control any machinery / lighting, etc. so as to maintain reception displays but to limit unwarranted wastage
    • To assist in managing the cleaners and ensuring that the front desk and dealership is kept up to date at all times
    • To assist in managing junior staff who may work in the reception area from time to time
    • To ensure all weekly / monthly reports required by the Dealer Principal / Accountants are completed promptly
    • To assist with general administration duties

    Warranty Clerk (Hyundai Weltevreden Park)

    Specific Role Responsibilities

    • Validate all vehicle data on documentation before input.Review job cards before costing for car shop, paint and panel.Ensure correct damage codes on all claims.Attend to and expediently finalise all claim queries.Ensure parts claim store is secure at all times.Ensure parts claim store is clean and tidy.Ensure all warranty parts are correctly tagged.
    • Ensure all prescribed parts are sent to the supplier within specified times.Process all paint shop claims.
    • Liaise closely with HASA warranty claims department to ensure continuity inclaim processing.
    • Ensure ordered warranty parts are placed on back order listing.
    • Ensure continued follow-up with outstanding warranty back order parts and customers.Ensure customers return for back-order warranty repairs.
    • Check vehicle history and any previous warranty work.Ensure the vehicle is within the warranty parameter period.
    • Ensure correct mileage recorded on the job card.
    • Ensure all vehicles have been inspected and diagnosed by the Workshop.
    • Ensure warranty part availability.Ensure correct part and part number is recorded on the warranty claim form.
    • Ensure required authorisation is obtained before commencing with the repairs - DP or .Service Manager to authorise while waiting for final HASA authorisation.Ensure that the warranty policy is adhered to at all times.
    • Reconciliation of all warranty job cards, invoices and warranty claim forms to a warranty register.
    • Ensure all warranty claim forms and invoices are submitted to HASA within 7 (seven)days of completion of repair.
    • Follow up with HASA that invoices have been received.
    • Ensure that job cards are costed and invoiced immediately the repairs are completed
    • .Failed parts to be destroyed as per the conditions laid out in the warranty policy andprocedures, unless otherwise instructed by HASA.
    • When requested, parts required forinspection are to be sent to HASA.
    • Ensure that all warranty job cards and invoices are signed by the customer.
    • Warranty filing is to be maintained by chassis number.Manual report of warranty parts over 30 days to be kept for incentive purposes.
    • Reasonable requests by Management outside your job description will be performedfrom time to time

    • Kerridge and EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue) Experience would be advantageous.
