    Technical Advisor: Clinical - Johannesburg

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Technical advisor aimed to provide skills transfer to DoH and ANOVA counterparts and build local capacity to achieve Health system strengthening at the facility level.
    • To implement improvement strategies that will improve 909090 programme, SA NDOH NSP for HIV/TB/STI (2017- 2022) plans.
    • To form a part of a multi-disciplinary team in implementation of improvement strategies and to inspire DoH team to lead in all quality improvements strategies.
    • Support the development and implementation of facility 909090 plans in line with sub-district 909090 plans
    • Train and mentor facilities in completion of TRAP tools and preparations of sub-district phuthuma meeting. Monitor the implementation of facility phuthuma activities and review Facility phuthuma performance indicators and develop improvements plans for non-performing indicators.
    • Participate in preparation and during USAID visit at the supported facility and follow up on facility USAID action items.
    • Lead the developments of QIP’s through a stakeholder engagement in the facilities to improve the PMTCT programme, TB/HIV co-infection, Peads and Adults ART management including HIV case finding strategies, linkage to care, VL management and DMOC in supported facilities.
    • Use facility data to evaluate QIP’s implemented in the facilities and develop further improvements as a change idea.
    • Conduct file audits (Paeds, Adults, PMTCT and TB) to identify clinical management gabs and provide mentorships
    • Support the ideal clinic implementation in the facilities (including conducting baseline, status determination, printing of temporary signage, conducting patient waiting surveys and develop QIP’s)
    • Conduct facility baseline skills audits and provide training on gabs identified. Update skills audit database for teams in the facilities via our training centre.
    • Train DoH and ANOVA clinicians on updated clinical guidelines and mentor mentee on NIMART until competency and complete portfolio of evidence
    • Train DoH and ANOVA on QI methodologies and the model on how to implement QI for DoH ownership.
    • Develop and provide tools for design, implementation, and monitoring of QIP’s.
    • Supervise and oversee Anova DSD Professional Nurse and Enrolled Nurse working in supported facilities
    • Team leader for Anova roving team
    • Establish & maintain good working relationships with all key stakeholders within & outside of Anova.

    Minimum qualifications and experience:

    • Tertiary qualification (Degree) in a health-related field
    • Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council
    • Clinical Assessment Treatment & Care (Nurse Clinician)
    • NIMART trained and certified competency
    • Certificate in PC 101/Adult Primary Care and IMCI
    • Quality Improvement Advisor Course or other training in QI methodologies
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in working as a professional nurse including work in TB/ HIV/AIDS environment
    • Previous management/supervisory experience (an advantage)
    • Ability to communicate in local languages (an advantage)
    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within allocated district

    Counsellor Linkage Officer - Johannesburg

     Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide HIV testing services (HTS) to clients.
    • Be available to assist all clients tested for HIV in the facility and from the community outreach sites.
    • Implementation of high yield case finding strategies.
    • Ensure that all clients tested positive are linked into care.
    • Follow up on all facility newly initiated clients, for adherence counselling.
    • Keep record of clients who are initiated on ART.

    Pharmacist Assistant - Vanderbijlpark

    • Provide mentorship and support to ensure that adequate levels of stock are available.
    • Ensure compliance with good pharmacy practice.
    • Maintenance of stock visibility solution (SVS).

    HR System Analyst

    Job Description

    The successful candidate will provide support to the HR Systems Manager in the implementation of the Sage and the implementation of HR-related systems storing employee records, payroll, time off, and other data. The HRIS analyst translates business objectives into system requirements and implements these. This involves optimizing the efficiency or user experience of the HRIS or implementing new technical solutions and will work with different stakeholders to optimize HRIS configuration.

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Provide support to the Systems Manager in the implementation of the Sage system.
    • Provide support to the implementation of HR-related systems.
    • Ensure alignment of the HR system with Company policies.
    • Conduct system clean-up to ensure data integrity.
    • Ensure the execution of the test scripts.
    • Translate business objectives and user needs into clearly written technical requirements.
    • Evaluate HR systems to identify points of improvement.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop technology solutions that help to streamline and automate (new) HR processes.
    • Implement process improvements and policy changes designed to improve efficiency and the user experience with the system.

    Nurse Mentor - Greater Tzaneen Rural

    We are looking for a Nurse Mentor to give technical support and capacity building on Comprehensive Care, Management and Treatment (CCMT) program and mentor staff at facilities in all areas of CCMT.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Health System Strengthening

    • Mentoring of staff at facilities in all program areas of CCMT.
    • Initiate and organize internal training and workshops based on needs and request.
    • Support the Department of Health and collaborate with other NGOs on implementation of CCMT program and community events.
    • Ensure implementation of the recent CCMT guidelines and protocols.
    • Identify program support needs at facilities and advise accordingly.
    • Facilitate integration of different CCMT services.

    Monitoring and Skill Development

    • Design development plan, based on identified needs and develop materials together with senior medical officers.
    • Support the Department of Health in conducting training.
    • Empower colleagues (e.g., orientation and knowledge transfer).
    • Provide solution on complicated cases together with clinics’ staff including referrals to relevant discipline at different levels of care.
    • Mentoring on acute service delivery in incidental cases including dispensing, recording, and counselling.

    Strengthening Internal Role and Administration

    Clinical Nurse Practitioner

    Job Description

The successful candidate will develop and implement activities aimed at strengthening HIV testing, care, and support in and outside DoH health facilities.

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Support the implementation of 90-90-90(95-95-95) TB/HIV activities at primary healthcare level.
    • Initiate eligible patients on ART and provide follow-up care.
    • Mentor professional nurses to competency level (and enrolled nurses where required) at DoH facilities on Nurse-Initiated-Management of HIV (NIMART).
    • Provide training with new HIV and TB guidelines, protocols, and SOPs, supporting facility teams with implementation plans and strategies, including monitoring of successful implementation.
    • Supervise and oversee Anova DSD Professional and Enrolled Nurses working in supported facilities.
    • Monitor performance and targets for TB/Adult, Pediatric and Adolescent HIV/PMTCT programmes at primary healthcare level and provide mentorship and technical support to improve performance.
    • Identify gaps within the health system and implement quality improvement plans to address identified gaps.
    • Facilitate implementation of chronic treatment clubs/adherence clubs and implementation of the National Adherence strategy in primary healthcare facilities.
    • Participate in outreach campaigns aimed at mobilising clients for HIV testing services, initiation of ARVs, uptake of contraceptives, etc.
    • Participate in preparation and attendance for USAID visit at the supported facility and follow up on facility USAID action items to oversee their implementation in supported facilities.
    • Review facility Phuthuma performance indicators and develop improvements plans for non-performing indicators.
    • Compile and submit weekly and monthly feedback reports on activities to line manager timeously and any other report as per request.

     Essential qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Postgraduate qualification as a Professional Nurse with Primary Health Care specialty (Nurse Clinician).
    • Registration as a professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
    • Experience working in primary healthcare facilities in the public sector.
    • NIMART trained and certified as competent to work independently.

    Procurement Assistant

    • To provider assistance to the Procurement Officer in all procurement activities.

    Key duties and responsibilities:
    Procurement Duties

    •  Assist with capturing of vendor information on the vendor database.
    •  Electronic filing and administration of all vendor related documentation.
    •  Ensure that goods/products are purchased from suppliers that have conducted compliance checks successfully.
    •  Sourcing of comparable quotations for the procurement officer.
    •  Assist in the preparation of procurement packs.
    •  Source approval from end users prior to final submission of the packs for final approval.
    •  Ensure that PO's are being sent to the suppliers only when authorized and approved by the relevant body in accordance to the procurement thresholds.
    •  Keep a sequential register of procurement requests (Status Report) providing statistics on the turnaround time of each procurement made.
    •  Ensure all emails in the procurement emailbox receive attention timeously.
    •  Follow up on all POs issued, making certain that suppliers meet deadlines and deliver quality goods.
    •  Assist with all procurement activities independently to act as a backup for Procurement Officer.
