    Junior Business Analyst

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Matric                                
    • Relevant tertiary qualification essential                                
    • Related experience in this field for minimum of 3 years        

    EXPERIENCE:

     

    • Experience in IL Operational Processes                                
    • Experience with use of Cargowise                                

    Key Responsibilities;    

    •  Provide support to business users for Cargowise and other identified applications eg. Power Apps & Power BI                                
    •  Management of application issues logged with IT, for development or major fixes, from logging of issue until resolution and roll out                                
    •  Prepare monthly reports on all application issues logged with IT and internally to analyse and establish root causes.                                  
    •  Analyse nature of application issues being experienced and make recommendations for changes to systems or processes                                 
    •  Effective roll out of issue resolution through communication and training                                
    •  Conduct formal training when required                                
    •  Work closely with IT Applications Team on new development and projects for IL                                
    •  Review the update notes for Cargowise to identify new functionality or changes that can be utilised in the Operations to improve the use of the system              
    •  Create and maintain detailed work instructions for all systems/applications being used by IL                                
    •  Prepare/assist in the preparation of Business Requirement Specifications for IT development projects                                
    •  Continuously evaluate the use of systems/applications in relation to current processes to identify opportunities to improve                                
    •  Work closely with Operations to understand the needs of the business                                
    •  Oversee implementation projects from beginning to completion                                

    Skills & Competencies;   

    • Advanced Cargowise user                                
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with all levels of management                                
    • Excellent interpersonal skills                                
    • Ability to effectively carry out training interventions                                
    • Project co-ordination skills                                 
    • Good problem solving skills                                
    • Systematic, logical and analytical approach                                
    • Ability to work under pressure                                
    • Well - developed computer literacy skills (MS Office, Power-bi tools and Cargowise)                                
    • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently                                
    • Self-motivated and self-directed                                 
    • Good technical skills in relation to upgrades, troubleshooting and implementing new applications                                
    • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.                                
    • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or IT related field

    KNOWLEDGE: 

    • Sound knowledge of the Cargowise Application                                
    • Strong working knowledge(technical and functional) knowledge of Logistics Applications and Interfaces

    Operations Controller

    Qualifications & Experience;    

    • Matric.
    • Relevant Qualification in Supply Chain Management would be beneficial.
    • Previous work experience in a Supervisory Role.
    • Minimum of 3 years work experience with Inventory and Stock Control.
    • Minimum of 3 years work experience with CHEP.

    Key Responsibilities;    

    Customer Service;

    • Quick response to Customer queries is of high importance.
    • Ensure Customers are aware of all processes and expectations are met.

    Operations;

    • Take Control of operational activities.
    • Ensure high levels of Inventory accuracy.
    • Daily Client requests to be achieved; returns, receipts and dispatches.
    • Ensuring adherence to SHEQ and ISO company standards / policies.
    • Ensure that regular operations meetings are held with staff to manage output and expectations.
    • Encourage continuous improvement of service.
    • Ensure that all quality objectives are measured and met.
    • Ensure compliance to good hygiene and housekeeping disciplines within all areas under your responsibility.
    • Manage the servicing & maintenance of all equipment within department.
    • Ensure that the department aligns itself to the BIL corporate framework and that all signage and uniforms uphold the image of BIL.
    • Monitor and maintain discipline in all areas which you are responsible for.

    Reporting;

    • Daily, Weekly and Monthly measurement and reporting of KPI Achievement.
    • Ensure on time submission of weekly / monthly management reports.
    • Monthly SHERQ report.
    • Monthly reporting to management of Cycle count results.

    People Management;

    • Ensure that staff productivity in operations are measured and achieved.
    • Establish KPI's for subordinates and manage accordingly.
    • Conduct Performance Appraisals for staff in line with company deadlines.
    • Manage absenteeism and ensure BIL code of conduct are understood.
    • Ensure all staff within the Facility comply with correct daily use of PPE and uniforms.

    Skills & Competencies;   

    • High Customer Service levels.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Excellent Planning and Organizational skills.
