    Sales Manager - Tzaneen

    Main Purpose

    • To recruit, maintain and develop sales representative and brokers and set targets.

    Develop and maintain sales and marketing plan

    • Develop an integrated sales & marketing plan
    • Implement and align marketing plan with regional plan and submit to management
    • Review and update strategic plan on a regular basic
    • Compile report on progress made on strategic plan
    • Communicate strategic plan to sales representatives

    Perform recruitment and selection process for sales representative

    • Advertise and market representative positions through presentations
    • Select applicants in accordance with FSCA requirements implementation of assessment selection battery

    Conduct training to sales representative

    • Facilitate the pre-course and post-course training
    • Responsible for on-the-job assessment of representatives

    Conduct coaching process

    • Give technical support and motivation to representatives
    • Coach representatives on improving their selling skills
    • Provide recognition through performance management system

    Conduct training to brokers

    • Ensure brokers are equipped with sufficient office documentation e.g. application forms
    • Handle administration queries on behalf of dedicated brokers
    • Check business methods of dedicated brokers and advise accordingly
    • Update brokers on Assupol products and services regularly
    • Ensure computer software of brokers are up to date in respect of Assupol products and services
    • Build professional business relationships with brokers 

    Identity and develop new and current markets

    • Identify, penetrate and develop new markets
    • Negotiate stop order markets
    • Maintain contacts with key decision makers and insurance industry resources (new and existing)
    • Retain and increase market share in existing markets
    • Manage the business retention
    • Conduct products presentations in the market

    Maintain production targets and retain business

    • Ensure and monitor set production targets are achieved

    Comply with FAIS requirements

    • Supervise representative when rendering services under supervision
    • Submit supervision evidence to MSSI on a monthly basis
    • Mentor and train supervisee to ensure that they have a proper understanding of products

    Manager: Claims Administration

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Manage claims administration: individual life and group scheme policies

    • Implement standard operating procedures for all claims received within the claims department.
    • Management of efficient and effective administration of all claims at Head Office and branch level according to best practice
    • Ensure quality claims assessment is rendered to all clients of Assupol
    • Ensure written communication is done professionally and validate the correctness thereof
    • Monitor and control claims processes and procedures
    • Identify possible gaps in processes and procedures and provide solutions to management
    • Oversee branch Office procedures are in line with Head Office procedures
    • Implement processes and procedures for the detection of fraud activities on claims
    • Provide inputs on dispute claims with Assupol Risk Committee
    • Provide inputs on ex-gratia payments in agreement with Senior Manager: Claims
    • Keep abreast with changes and updates of the industry
    • Manage payment turn-around time of finalized claims (TCF)
    • Sign-off and approve claims payments (TCF)
    • Ensure clients are treated fairly the claims journey

    Manage performance and development of staff

    • Identify development areas for all staff in the department and provide guidance thereof
    • Evaluation on performance of staff
    • Ensure all new employees are inducted into the department

    Provide Reports to Senior Manager: IL Claims Administration

    • Oversee the maintaining of allocated registers within the department
    • Compile reports for manager on claims activities
    • Compile internal audit findings report with feedback and planning to Snr Manager on monthly basis
    • Compile analysis report on claims scenarios to Snr manager on monthly basis

    Implementation of claims workflow and audits

    • Implement processes are followed and completed for audits taking place from Re Insurers as well as internal and external auditors
    • Provide feedback on audit findings to Snr Manager
    • Provide feedback to Snr Manager on steps taken to ensure claims processes are followed in claims administration
       

    Requirements
    Formal Education:

    • Degree: B: Business Management/relevant
    • RE1 & RE 5
    • Registration as a Key Individual
    • 60 or 120 credits on NQF level 5 (Depending on the date of appointment in the industry)

    Experience:

    • 5 Years’ Experience in long term insurance claims; At least  2 years in Management

    Head: Key Account Management

    Description
     Contribute to the Growth the Value of New Business

    Development and implementation of the Key Account Strategy in alignment with the National Sales Strategy.

    • Analysis of the overall growth market opportunity landscape (new and existing markets/worksites) and establish strategies to exploit identified  opportunities
    • Analysis of competitor activity and/or actions within key Assupol markets and establish defensive and/or counter strategies against competition
    • Acquisition of new worksites – guided by defined client profile and strategy.

    Cornerstone Sales Manager

    Description

    Junior Underwriter

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Perform underwriting on individual life policies

    • Perform underwriting of policy applications and amendments according to policies and procedures by phoning clients and obtaining all medical information e.g. evaluate information provided (medical, occupational) and make a decision as to what terms will/can be offered to the applicant by making  use of the QUIRC and AIMS systems.
    • Override QUIRC decision if and when necessary.
    • Provide underwriting decision to client telephonically (decline, loaded, excluded)
    • Liaise with re-insurers, medical practitioners and other external parties on underwriting matters
    • Comply with legislation and ASISA protocols (TCF)
    • Placements of ASISA listings (serious medical conditions on central register)
    • Liaise with clients (i.e. policy holders, branch and sales staff) (TCF) to obtain all medical information by means of questions generated by the QUIRC underwriting system.

    Perform new business administration on individual life policies:

    • Place request for pathology nurse services to draw blood, Write and send “HIV+ letters” to doctors
    • Write and send reasons for loadings and/or declined cases to doctors
    • Ensure that correct correspondence, SMSs are sent to branch, intermediary, sales manager and client.

    Assist with complaints resolution and compliance (TCF)

    • Monitor the timeously resolution of complaints in accordance with the complaints resolutions policy

    Requirements
    Formal Education

    • Grade 12

    Technical Certification

    • RE1 & RE 5 (advantage)
    • 60 or 120 credits on NQF level 5 (Depending on the date of appointment in the industry) (advantage)
    • Underwriting certificate (advantage)

    Experience

    • 2 Year Experience in long term insurance underwriting
    • Medical and medical underwriting background (advantage)
    • 2 years administrative experience
